Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) is taking another decisive step in strengthening its footprint in the local automotive landscape with the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI) with new dealer partner, HZN Inspiration Sdn Bhd. The move signals Hyundai’s continued commitment to long-term growth in Malaysia, complemented by the introduction of enhanced customer-centric ownership solutions through strategic insurance partnerships.
Through its collaboration with HZN Inspiration Sdn Bhd, Hyundai will explore the establishment of new dealership facilities within the Klang Valley, one of Malaysia’s most dynamic automotive markets. The first outlet under this partnership is targeted to commence operations by the second quarter of 2026, reinforcing Hyundai’s plan to expand its retail network in areas with strong customer demand.
This expansion reflects Hyundai’s broader strategy to improve accessibility and ensure customers can experience the brand’s products and services more conveniently. By increasing the number of touchpoints nationwide, Hyundai aims to deliver a more seamless and responsive ownership journey while supporting sustainable growth in the Malaysian market.
Hyundai Motor Malaysia President, Mr Eric Lee, emphasised the company’s long-term vision, guided by the theme “Sentiasa di sisi anda”. He noted that HZN Inspiration’s established presence in the automotive industry since 2011 makes them a valuable partner in Hyundai’s mission to connect more closely with customers.
Echoing this sentiment, Managing Director Ms Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen reaffirmed Hyundai’s long-term commitment to Malaysia, highlighting that network expansion is essential to ensuring customers are supported wherever they are. She added that HZN’s experience and market strength provide confidence as Hyundai continues to grow its brand and reach across the country.
Beyond network growth, Hyundai Motor Malaysia is also elevating its ownership experience through the development of the Hyundai Protection Plan. Designed to offer greater peace of mind, this upcoming programme focuses on providing comprehensive, flexible and simplified protection for customers throughout their ownership journey.
The Hyundai Protection Plan is being developed in collaboration with leading insurance providers, namely Allianz, Berjaya Sompo, Tokio Marine, Etiqa, and Takaful Ikhlas. The plan will offer a wide range of benefits, including agreed value coverage of up to 15 years in cases of accident or theft, desktop claims approval of up to RM30,000 within 24 hours, unlimited towing services, 24/7 roadside assistance, and zero-gap coverage based on the vehicle’s invoice price.
Together, the expansion of Hyundai’s retail network through its partnership with HZN Inspiration and the introduction of enhanced ownership protection underscore Hyundai Motor Malaysia’s customer-first approach. These initiatives reflect a clear focus on accessibility, confidence and long-term value, positioning Hyundai as a brand that is not only growing its presence but also investing in a future-ready ownership experience for Malaysian customers.
