Tesla has reiterated its confidence in Malaysia as a key market in its global push towards sustainable energy, assuring customers that its commitment goes well beyond policy incentives. Despite the conclusion of the electric vehicle tax holiday, Tesla Malaysia has confirmed that all its models will continue to be offered at the same starting prices introduced in 2025.
Malaysia’s best-selling electric sedan, the Tesla Model 3, retains its starting price of RM169,000, while the globally best-selling Model Y remains priced from RM195,450. This move reflects Tesla’s continued investment in local infrastructure and its aim to make electric mobility more accessible to Malaysians nationwide.
Backing the Malaysian Government’s green agenda, Tesla is steadily expanding its charging ecosystem across the country. At present, Tesla operates 18 Supercharging stations and 17 Destination Charging locations, translating to 76 Superchargers and 79 Destination Chargers. These facilities are designed to support both long-distance travel and everyday driving needs, complementing the growing availability of home charging solutions. Tesla has also confirmed that additional charging locations are in the pipeline to further enhance ownership convenience.
East Malaysia is also seeing increased attention, with Tesla now welcoming customers at its Experience Centre located at Lot G-064, Vivacity Megamall in Kuching, Sarawak. Visitors can experience Tesla vehicles firsthand and explore the brand’s latest electric vehicle technologies. To mark the expansion, exclusive January-only incentives are available in Kuching while stocks last. Customers who place an order before 15 January will receive an official Tesla headrest, while owners who successfully refer two new buyers who complete delivery within January will be rewarded with a limited-edition colour-matched Wall Connector faceplate and RM1,000 in Tesla Credits under the Refer & Earn programme.
Nationwide, customers can continue to configure their preferred Tesla models at unchanged starting prices, with vehicle deliveries expected from February onwards. Eligible buyers may also enjoy discounts of up to RM2,000, in addition to referral rewards that offer RM500 in Tesla Credits per successful referral.
With stable pricing, a growing charging network and expanded customer access, Tesla’s latest announcements underline its long-term vision for Malaysia’s electric future. Interested customers are encouraged to visit a Tesla Experience Centre or speak with a Tesla Advisor to learn more about current offers and ownership options.
