iCAUR Malaysia has officially announced that its iCAUR V23 electric SUV has secured a full 5-Star rating under the ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme (ASEAN NCAP), achieving an impressive overall score of 91.02 points. This recognition highlights the V23’s strong performance across all safety criteria and reinforces iCAUR’s dedication to delivering advanced vehicle safety alongside its “Born to Play” ethos.

The iCAUR V23 was evaluated under the 2021–2025 ASEAN NCAP assessment protocol. It scored 39.71 points for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), 16.67 points for Child Occupant Protection (COP), 17.14 points for Safety Assist Technologies (SATs), and 17.50 points for Motorcyclist Safety (MS). These results not only earned the V23 a 5-Star overall rating but also positioned it as the first fully electric off-road SUV to be assessed by ASEAN NCAP under the current protocol.
Built for both rugged terrains and everyday driving, the iCAUR V23 combines a strong structural foundation with advanced safety systems. Its cage-like frame uses 70% high-strength steel, complemented by a Battery Management System (BMS) that provides high-voltage protection and liquid-cooled temperature management, ensuring battery safety even in collisions.
The SUV also comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including six airbags and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) standard across both 2WD and iWD variants. A millimetre-wave radar further enhances detection accuracy, supporting the following ADAS features:
