Volvo Car Malaysia has announced a major upgrade to its aftersales service, rebranding its industry-first initiative as the Volvo Genuine Parts Extended Warranty programme. This programme provides Volvo owners with a lifetime warranty on genuine parts, installed at authorised Volvo dealerships nationwide—at no additional cost.

Designed for vehicles that have outgrown the standard warranty, this programme reinforces Volvo’s commitment to product quality, customer satisfaction, and long-term ownership value. It ensures that owners can enjoy peace of mind with parts guaranteed “For Life,” including labour costs for covered repairs when performed at authorised service centres.

Unlike the standard vehicle warranty, the Volvo Genuine Parts Extended Warranty covers all eligible Volvo Genuine Parts installed outside the manufacturer’s original warranty period. Key benefits for customers include:

  • Lifetime warranty on Volvo Genuine Parts against defects in materials or workmanship
  • Labour costs included for repairs at authorised Volvo service centres
  • No additional charges beyond the original part and installation

The warranty applies to all genuine parts except consumables, batteries, accessories, and wear-and-tear items. Parts covered can be replaced unlimited times if needed, while eligible remanufactured parts sold through authorised dealers are also included. Coverage even extends internationally for replacement through participating authorised Volvo workshops.

Moreover, if a defective part triggers failure in other covered components, those parts will also be replaced free of charge.

To qualify, parts must be:

  • Purchased and installed on or after 1 October 2021 at an authorised Volvo dealership
  • Fully paid for outside standard warranty claims
  • Accompanied by a valid dated invoice with the current owner’s legal name
  • Maintained throughout the same ownership period

Parts replaced under new car warranties or installed in non-authorised workshops are not eligible, and the programme is non-transferable. Vehicles that haven’t visited an authorised Volvo workshop for over two years after the standard warranty may require a health check at the owner’s cost to maintain eligibility.
