Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is redefining the electric vehicle ownership experience with the introduction of a mobile charging solution, thanks to its collaboration with Power-Up (P.UP) by Nazamax Malaysia. The initiative grants Mercedes-Benz EQ customers exclusive access to the MB Platinum 5 plan, providing an unprecedented level of convenience and peace of mind.
This innovative service brings power directly to the customer’s location, eliminating one of the most common pain points of EV ownership: access to charging infrastructure. By deploying on-demand DC fast chargers capable of delivering up to 120kWh, the door-to-door service enables quick and efficient top-ups—without requiring the owner to be present.
“As we progress towards advancing electric mobility in Malaysia, we are committed to enhancing the overall ownership experience for our EV customers,” said Edmin Naidoo, Vice President of Customer Services at Mercedes-Benz Malaysia & SEA II. “This collaboration reflects our vision of providing not just premium vehicles, but also comprehensive solutions that make EV ownership more seamless, supporting the nation’s goal of expanding charging accessibility.”
The pilot program was launched in Penang in September 2024 and has since expanded to the Klang Valley, where three mobile charging vans are currently operational. Looking ahead, P.UP plans to commence operations in Johor Bahru by the first quarter of 2026, with full Peninsular Malaysia coverage targeted by the second half of the year.
P.UP CEO SM Fauzi Dato Hj SM Shalahuddin emphasized the company’s mission: “We are proud to introduce this groundbreaking service to Malaysians. The response from Mercedes-Benz EQ customers has been overwhelmingly positive. Our goal is to expand nationwide and solve key challenges faced by EV owners, ensuring charging solutions are convenient and accessible.”
By addressing charging accessibility and flexibility, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and P.UP are taking a major step in strengthening the country’s EV ecosystem—delivering both innovation and confidence to the growing community of electric vehicle drivers.
