The Mandalika International Circuit delivered a spectacular debut for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) as it hosted Rounds 10-12 of the 2025 season, with intense wheel-to-wheel action, breakout performances, and championship celebrations defining the weekend. Team Shanghai Yonda BWT’s Dylan Pereira emerged as the star of the show, sealing both the overall championship and the coveted Endurance Cup title.
Sharing the stage with the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia, the Mandalika weekend introduced fans to a fresh talent—Marcus Amand. Standing in for Li Chao in the #9 Team Betterlife Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, the Finnish driver converted his pole position into a flawless debut win in Round 10. Holding his nerve under immense pressure from TORO Racing’s Enzo Trulli and championship leader Dylan Pereira, Amand crossed the finish line first, signaling a bright future in the series.
Trulli secured second place for his fifth podium of the season, while Pereira’s incredible eight-race winning streak came to an end with a third-place finish. In the Pro-Am class, OpenRoad Racing’s Francis Tjia capitalized on penalties for Bao Jinlong to score his first class victory of the season.
With Munkong Sathienthirakul absent, the Am class title fight tightened significantly. Henry Kwong seemed poised for victory before a costly spin allowed his brother Eric Kwong of Bergwerk Motorsport to snatch the win. 610 Racing’s Hu Bo and debutant Roy Tang completed the podium.
In Masters, EBM’s Adrian D’Silva continued his fine form, outpacing OpenRoad Racing’s Christian Chia and Modena Motorsport’s John Shen for a critical win in the championship battle.
Sunday morning saw Amand repeat his dominance in Round 11, taking a lights-to-flag victory. Trulli once again pushed hard for second, while Hugo Ellis of Sime Motors Racing returned to the podium in third. Despite finishing sixth, Pereira’s points haul was enough to crown him the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Champion with a round to spare.
Bao Jinlong bounced back with another Pro-Am win, while Henry Kwong edged Eric in a thrilling Am class duel decided by just half a second. D’Silva extended his Masters advantage with another hard-fought triumph over Chia.
The weekend culminated with an action-packed Endurance Cup finale on Sunday afternoon. Amand and Trulli fought fiercely into Turn 1, but a late-braking mistake opened the door for Pereira, who seized the lead and never looked back. Despite early setbacks and gravel drama for Amand, the race delivered intense battles throughout, with Oscar Targett and Brock Gilchrist providing late-race excitement before mechanical issues shuffled the order.
Pereira claimed victory and with it, the Endurance Cup title. Bao celebrated a similar double, securing his sixth Pro-Am crown alongside the Endurance Cup. The Am category saw Henry Kwong score another win, while Eric Kwong’s consistent podium finishes earned him the Endurance Cup title. In Masters, Jacky Wu took a surprise race victory, but Chia’s calculated performance secured him the Endurance Cup crown over D’Silva.
Beyond the on-track drama, PCCA announced its 2026 calendar during Friday’s Formation Lap event. The season will kick off with back-to-back races in China (Zhuhai and Shanghai), followed by Japan’s Fuji Speedway. Thailand’s Bangsaen Street Circuit returns for Rounds 7-8, before the championship wraps up in Sepang and Singapore.
The 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season concludes on October 3-5, supporting the iconic Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay. With several class titles still undecided, fans can expect an electrifying finale.
