The much-anticipated REDLINE Fitness Games by NISSAN is set to make a grand comeback in Malaysia on 26 and 27 July 2025. Hosting its third edition at the MINES International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC), this year’s event has already surpassed the participation and spectator numbers of its previous two editions in 2023 and 2024, solidifying its reputation as one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most inclusive fitness competitions.

Drawing over 10,000 fitness enthusiasts and spectators from both local and international communities, REDLINE embodies the spirit of athleticism and unity. The event encourages participants of all fitness levels to push beyond their limits through functional fitness challenges in a vibrant, community-driven atmosphere.

Organised by Fresh Events Asia with the continued backing of title sponsor NISSAN, REDLINE Fitness Games offers a unique platform for athletes and fitness lovers to test their strength, endurance, agility, and mental resilience. Central to the competition is the REDLINE workout arena—a rigorous circuit of 12 full-body cardio and strength challenges. Participants will tackle a diverse range of exercises including a 500-metre run, SkiErg, BikeErg and RowErg segments, deadball burpees, sled pushes and pulls, and The Mule—fast carries involving progressively heavier sandbags. Complementary exercises such as Russian twists, squat thrusts, shuttle runs, and the sandbag gauntlet ensure a balanced, demanding test of overall physical capability.

The event caters to a broad spectrum of competitors with categories for Singles, Doubles, and Team Relays, available for men, women, and mixed teams. The Singles division offers three difficulty levels—Beginner (Level 1), Intermediate (Level 2), and Advanced (Level 3)—enabling participants from varied fitness backgrounds to compete on equal footing.

Jeff Ross, General Manager of Fresh Events Asia, emphasized the event’s unique blend of intensity and camaraderie: “REDLINE was never meant to be just another fitness event. It’s about creating a space where anyone, whether a seasoned athlete or a first-timer, can show up, feel welcome, and participate. It’s about belonging, pushing your own limits, and being part of something bigger.”

The event’s continued success is bolstered by strong partnerships, including longstanding support from NISSAN, MyCEB (Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau), Concept2, and various other sponsors and exhibitors. NISSAN’s CEO of Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd, Khoo Cheng Pah, remarked on the synergy between the brand and REDLINE’s ethos: “Pushing boundaries and striving for peak performance are qualities central to both REDLINE and NISSAN. Our ongoing involvement reflects this shared mindset and vision.”

MyCEB, an agency under Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, also plays a pivotal role in supporting the event’s smooth execution. CEO Tan Mei Phing expressed pride in aiding the growth of REDLINE as a signature sporting event for the region, stating that it aligns perfectly with Malaysia’s ambition to become a premier destination for world-class lifestyle and sports experiences.

Looking beyond Malaysia, REDLINE Fitness Games is expanding its footprint in Southeast Asia with plans to launch its first event in Bangkok in December 2025, followed by Vietnam in early 2026.

The name “REDLINE” aptly symbolizes the competition’s core challenge—pushing the human body to its ultimate limit, much like a car engine’s maximum performance threshold. Participants are invited to find their personal “REDLINE,” testing not just their physical abilities but also their mental determination.

With its combination of rigorous fitness challenges, inclusive community spirit, and inspiring atmosphere, REDLINE Fitness Games by NISSAN continues to redefine the landscape of fitness competitions in Southeast Asia and beyond.
