Isuzu Malaysia welcomes its newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tomoyuki Yamaguchi, who officially assumed the position on April 24, 2025. Succeeding Mr. Shunsuke Okazoe—now Vice President of the Japan Sales Division at Isuzu Motors Ltd.—Mr. Yamaguchi brings with him nearly three decades of international automotive expertise, a strategic vision for customer satisfaction, and a mission to elevate the Isuzu ownership experience in Malaysia.

A graduate of Toyo University, Mr. Yamaguchi began his career with Isuzu Motors in 1997, focusing initially on the International Operations Department with markets such as Russia and Ukraine. His extensive experience across the CIS countries and South-West Asia, combined with his leadership role in revitalizing the commercial vehicle business at Isuzu Motors South Africa, positions him strongly to lead Isuzu Malaysia into its next phase of growth.

Upon his arrival, Mr. Yamaguchi praised the maturity of Isuzu’s operations in Malaysia and its strong reputation built over two decades. “Isuzu Malaysia stands as a model of excellence globally, thanks to a loyal customer base that recognizes the strength and reliability of our vehicles. Our goal now is to further enhance every customer’s experience and nurture lifelong relationships with the brand,” he said.

Key among Mr. Yamaguchi’s priorities are strengthening the dealership network, expanding in-house service offerings, and optimizing parts inventory systems to ensure faster and more reliable support for customers. He emphasized the need for continuous improvement, aiming to work closely with Isuzu dealers to deliver an even higher standard of service across the nation.

With a clear focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, Mr. Yamaguchi’s leadership is poised to drive Isuzu Malaysia to greater heights in the years ahead.
