Tesla Malaysia is accelerating its push toward electrified mobility with the introduction of the new Model Y L, a six-seater variant designed to meet the needs of modern families. Showcased at multiple locations including Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Tesla Centre Cyberjaya, Pavilion Damansara Heights, and Gurney Plaza, the Model Y L highlights Tesla’s commitment to offering versatile electric vehicle (EV) solutions tailored to different lifestyles.

Positioned as a practical yet premium family SUV, the Model Y L delivers an impressive driving range of up to 681 km (WLTP) and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just five seconds. With a maximum cargo capacity of 2,539 litres, the model combines performance with everyday usability, making it ideal for both urban commuting and long-distance travel across Malaysia.

The Model Y L Premium variant elevates comfort and convenience with a thoughtfully designed three-row, six-seat layout. Second-row captain seats come equipped with powered armrests, ventilation, heating, and one-touch folding, while the third row offers power recline, climate ventilation, and similar folding functionality. Enhancing the in-cabin experience further are acoustic glass, an upgraded suspension system, new 19-inch Machina wheels, and a 19-speaker Tesla audio system, all contributing to a refined and quiet ride.

Built on a refined chassis with adaptive suspension and electronic damping, the Model Y L is engineered to handle varying road conditions with ease. This ensures improved ride comfort, better grip, and confident handling—qualities that are especially valuable for families embarking on long journeys.

Priced from RM260,000, the Model Y L Premium is now open for online orders, with deliveries expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026.

Alongside the new SUV, Tesla continues to promote the Model 3 sedan as a more accessible entry point into EV ownership. With a range of up to 750 km (WLTP) and a starting price of RM147,600, the Model 3 offers a compelling blend of efficiency and performance. A deconstructed Model 3 display at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from 1 to 12 April 2026 provides the public with a closer look at Tesla’s engineering and safety-first approach, which has consistently earned top safety ratings globally.

Beyond vehicle offerings, Tesla Malaysia is rapidly expanding its charging and support infrastructure. The network now includes 19 Supercharging stations with 84 chargers and 18 Destination Charging locations featuring 75 chargers nationwide. Recent additions, such as the Supercharger site at The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey, further enhance accessibility for EV users.

Home charging adoption is also on the rise, with over 11,000 households already benefiting from Tesla’s Home Charging Program. Customers are currently offered a complimentary Wall Connector, adding further value to ownership.

Tesla has also introduced cross-border service, charging, and connectivity coverage across Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. This allows owners to enjoy seamless travel with access to service centres, navigation tools, live traffic updates, and safety features such as Sentry Mode across all three countries. Supported by a 24/7 service hotline and an intelligent trip planner, Tesla is making regional road trips more convenient than ever.

With its expanding vehicle portfolio, growing infrastructure, and enhanced ownership experience, Tesla Malaysia is steadily strengthening its position in the country’s EV landscape—bringing Malaysians closer to a more sustainable and connected future of mobility.
