As Malaysians prepare for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) has launched a special festive campaign aimed at making balik kampung journeys more convenient and cost-effective for electric vehicle owners.
Known as the “Jalinkan Raya Bersama Proton e.MAS” campaign, the initiative introduces a series of promotions designed to support Proton e.MAS owners during the busy travel season. Running from 17 to 25 March 2026, the campaign offers 25% off EV charging fees, alongside additional Raya-themed after-sales benefits available at authorised Proton e.MAS service centres nationwide until 31 March 2026.
The campaign arrives at a time when fuel prices in Peninsular Malaysia have been trending upward. For the week of 12 to 18 March 2026, the price of RON97 petrol reached RM3.85 per litre, while unsubsidised RON95 rose to RM3.27 per litre. Diesel prices also climbed to RM3.92 per litre, increasing the overall cost of long-distance travel during the festive season. According to PRO-NET, the charging promotion highlights one of the key advantages of electric vehicles—lower running costs compared with traditional petrol-powered cars.
Mr. Sua Chek Hoong, Chief Information Officer of PRO-NET, explained that the initiative is designed to make festive travel more affordable for EV owners. He noted that rising fuel prices underscore the economic benefits of electric mobility, and the Raya charging promotion aims to ensure Proton e.MAS drivers can travel home to celebrate with family while keeping costs under control. He also added that PRO-NET remains committed to developing a seamless EV ecosystem supported by accessible charging infrastructure, dependable after-sales services and enhanced ownership experiences.
During the promotional period, Proton e.MAS owners can enjoy a 25% discount on Charging Point Operator (CPO) rates when using the Proton e.MAS App or Hello smart App to initiate charging sessions.
To benefit from the discounted rates, owners simply need to open the Proton e.MAS app within the promotion period, locate a charging station via the charging map, select the appropriate connector and complete the pre-authorisation process before starting their charging session. Charging prices displayed within the apps during the campaign period will automatically reflect the discounted rates.
The promotion also showcases the growing scale of PRO-NET’s charging ecosystem. Through its integrated charging map, Proton e.MAS drivers currently have access to more than 4,300 charging points across over 1,400 locations nationwide, supported by 10 integrated charge point operators, offering broad interoperability across Malaysia’s expanding EV infrastructure.
In addition to discounted charging, PRO-NET is also providing festive after-sales rewards for customers at 36 authorised Proton e.MAS 3S Centres nationwide until 31 March 2026.
The Raya after-sales programme includes several complimentary services and benefits, such as:

- RM50 voucher for the next servicing appointment
- Complimentary car wash
- Free EV charging up to 80%
- Limited-edition Duit Raya packets while stocks last

These incentives aim to help owners prepare their vehicles for long-distance festive travel while ensuring peace of mind during the busy holiday period.
