Porsche Malaysia has officially announced the return of the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia (PESCM), bringing the thrill of motorsport into the digital arena for young racing enthusiasts across the country. Registration for the 2026 edition opened on 13 March 2026 via the official championship website.
The competition continues Porsche’s long-standing motorsport heritage by offering aspiring racers a platform to test their skills in a professional sim racing environment. According to Christopher Hunter, the initiative reflects Porsche’s commitment to nurturing future racing talent both virtually and on the racetrack.
“For over 75 years, Porsche has been synonymous with motorsport excellence. Whether on the tarmac or in the digital arena, racing is in our DNA. The Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia continues this legacy, providing young talents a platform to explore their passion, hone their skills, and aspire to greater heights,” he said.
Mirroring the format of the renowned Porsche Carrera Cup one-make racing series, PESCM places every participant behind the virtual wheel of the same Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car. Using identical setups with professional steering wheels and pedals, competitors rely solely on their driving skill, focus, and race strategy to gain an advantage.
The championship runs on the racing simulator Assetto Corsa, widely recognised for its realistic physics and driving dynamics, ensuring that participants experience an authentic racing simulation.
A major highlight for the 2026 season is the introduction of a dedicated female-only category aimed at encouraging more women to explore motorsport. Open to participants aged 10 to 23, the new category reflects Porsche’s broader effort to promote diversity and create more opportunities for women in racing.
The four categories for PESCM 2026 include:
- Junior Dreamers: 10 – 14 years old
- Young Dreamers: 15 – 17 years old
- Driven Dreamers: 18 – 23 years old
- Female Dreamers: 10 – 23 years old (all-female category)

The road to the championship title begins with three qualifying stages held across Malaysia. The first round will take place at major shopping destinations:
- Bangsar Shopping Centre — 18–19 April 2026
- The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey — 25–26 April 2026
- Gurney Paragon Mall — 2–3 May 2026
The top 30 drivers from each category at each venue will advance to the second qualifying round hosted at Porsche Centres nationwide. From there, the fastest 10 drivers from each centre will move on to Qualifying Round 3 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil from 4 to 5 July 2026.
The championship will culminate during Rounds 9 to 11 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia at the iconic PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit on 22 and 23 August 2026. The top 10 drivers from each category will battle it out during the race weekend, placing Malaysia’s best sim racers at the heart of a real-world Porsche motorsport event.
The competition has already proven its ability to open doors to real motorsport opportunities. 2025 Driven Dreamers champion Naquib Azlan has since stepped into professional racing and is currently competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, showcasing how talent discovered in the virtual arena can transition onto the actual track.
With registrations now open, PESCM 2026 promises another exciting season of digital racing while continuing Porsche’s mission to inspire the next generation of motorsport talent in Malaysia.
