Jetour T2 has officially made its debut in Malaysia, marking a significant step forward for Jetour as it expands its footprint in the local market. Designed for drivers who want both daily usability and genuine off-road capability, the new SUV arrives with the bold tagline “Dare to Dominate,” highlighting its blend of rugged performance, modern connectivity and strong safety credentials.

The launch underscores the brand’s ambitions in Malaysia’s growing adventure-oriented SUV segment. According to Ke Chuandeng, the model reflects the company’s “Travel+” philosophy, which focuses on creating vehicles that seamlessly integrate mobility, lifestyle and exploration. He emphasised that Malaysia represents a key strategic market, and the introduction of the T2 is part of Jetour’s long-term commitment to building trust with local customers through strong products and meaningful partnerships.

Powering the SUV is a 2.0-litre turbocharged direct injection (TGDi) engine that produces 180kW of power and 375Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (7DCT) and Jetour’s Intelligent XWD all-wheel-drive system. This advanced drivetrain includes 7+X drive modes that automatically adjust torque distribution based on terrain and driving conditions. Whether navigating congested city streets, cruising along highways or venturing onto rougher surfaces, the system enhances stability, traction and overall driving confidence. The vehicle also rides on 255/60 R19 alloy wheels, reinforcing its robust stance and off-road readiness.

Visually, the T2 stands out with a bold, boxy silhouette and muscular proportions. The exterior features auto LED headlamps, an illuminated “JETOUR” wordlight signature, distinctive light-ray LED rear taillamps and a rear-mounted spare tyre that emphasises its adventurous personality. Convenience is further enhanced by an electric suction back door. Buyers can choose from three exterior colours: Khaki White, Aviation Silver and Carbon Black.

Inside the cabin, technology takes centre stage with a large 15.6-inch multimedia display supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The intelligent “Hello Jetour” voice assistant allows drivers to control navigation, climate settings and media functions through voice commands. A 50W fast wireless charging pad keeps devices powered on the move, while a 12-speaker SONY premium audio system delivers immersive sound for both daily commutes and long journeys.

Comfort features are tailored to suit Malaysian driving conditions. The SUV comes with leatherette seats, front memory seats with a welcome function and ventilated front seats designed to improve comfort in tropical climates. Multicolour ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof further elevate the interior ambience, creating a spacious and refined environment for passengers.

Safety remains a major focus for the new model. The T2 has earned a five-star rating from ASEAN NCAP and is equipped with six SRS airbags along with a comprehensive Level 2 Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS). Additional features include a Panoramic View Monitoring System offering a 360-degree camera with transparent chassis view and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), helping improve situational awareness and occupant protection.

In Malaysia, the Jetour T2 is priced at RM156,800. It comes with a seven-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, as well as an impressive 10-year or 1,000,000km powertrain warranty. To mark the launch, the first 3,000 registered customers will also receive a RM2,000 cash rebate.

The introduction of the SUV took place during a Ramadan buka puasa gathering, reflecting the brand’s appreciation for the Malaysian community during the holy month. The evening also included the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia, highlighting Jetour’s commitment to sustainability and responsible exploration as it continues to grow its presence in the country.

With its rugged styling, capable drivetrain and technology-rich interior, the Jetour T2 aims to offer Malaysian drivers a versatile SUV that is equally suited for everyday urban life and weekend adventures.
