In the spirit of generosity that defines the holy month of Ramadan, inDrive brought warmth and goodwill to communities across Kuala Lumpur through a meaningful outreach initiative. The global mobility platform distributed 3,000 portions of the beloved traditional dish, bubur lambuk, to frontline workers and residents, honouring those who keep the city moving every day.
The initiative was made possible through close collaboration with inDrive’s driver partners, who stepped beyond their everyday roles to volunteer in delivering the meals. Together, they reached various locations including government hospitals, Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) housing areas, bustling Ramadan bazaars, and Bomba quarters. Their efforts ensured that the comforting meal reached both essential workers and local communities during the fasting month.
What made the programme particularly impactful was the active participation of the driver partners themselves. Known primarily for transporting passengers, they embraced the opportunity to give back, strengthening their bond with the communities they serve. The initiative highlighted their role not just as drivers, but as contributors to society who help foster connection and compassion.
According to Azlan Anwar, the programme reflects the true essence of Ramadan—unity, generosity, and appreciation. He emphasised that the initiative was not only about sharing meals, but also about recognising the dedication of frontline workers and nurturing a sense of togetherness among communities.
Through efforts like this, inDrive continues to demonstrate its commitment to inclusivity and positive social impact. Beyond providing accessible mobility solutions, the company remains focused on uplifting communities across Malaysia, especially during meaningful occasions like Ramadan.
