Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad is stepping up its commitment to road safety with a series of enhanced protection initiatives aimed at both motorcyclists and car drivers. By introducing improved personal accident benefits and affordable add-on coverage, the insurer is reinforcing its mission to provide Malaysians with greater confidence and security on the road.

According to Chief Executive Officer Sean Wang, the company’s latest efforts are centred on delivering practical and accessible solutions that prioritise the well-being of all road users. This includes not only drivers, but also pillion riders and passengers who share the journey.

One of the key highlights of the campaign is a special initiative tailored for motorcyclists, widely regarded as among the most vulnerable road users. From 3 March to 31 December 2026, customers who purchase or renew an Allianz Motorcycle Plus policy—whether Comprehensive or Third Party—will receive a complimentary boost in their Road Accident Coverage.

This upgrade increases the sum insured for death or permanent disability caused by road accidents to RM25,000, a significant jump from the standard RM10,000. The enhanced coverage applies to motorcycles with an engine capacity of up to 250cc or 12,000 watts and extends protection to both riders and their pillion passengers. By offering this benefit at no additional cost, Allianz General aims to provide stronger financial protection for those who rely on two-wheel mobility.

In parallel, the company is also making it easier for car owners to enhance their protection through a limited-time Drive Guard add-on offer. Customers who purchase or renew an Allianz Private Car Comprehensive policy within the same promotional period can opt for the add-on at a nominal fee of just RM5 per year.

Despite its affordability, Drive Guard delivers substantial benefits. It offers up to RM50,000 in coverage for death or permanent disablement due to accidents, along with hospital income of RM50 per day for up to 60 days. Policyholders can also claim medical expenses up to RM2,000, while a bereavement allowance of RM2,500 provides additional financial support during difficult times.

Together, these initiatives reflect Allianz General’s proactive approach to improving road safety while ensuring that comprehensive protection remains within reach for everyday Malaysians. Whether on two wheels or four, the insurer’s latest offerings are designed to deliver peace of mind and meaningful support when it matters most.
