OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia has officially entered the final countdown to the market introduction of the highly anticipated JAECOO J5, with its launch scheduled for the coming weeks. As excitement builds, the brand has revealed an estimated starting price of RM110,000 and unveiled a generous Super Early Bird package worth RM8,888, designed to reward customers who place their bookings ahead of the official debut next month.

The announcement was made during a Media Appreciation event that also served as a strategic briefing on the brand’s direction for 2026. A key highlight of the evening was the formal introduction of Chris Tan as the new Head of OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia, marking a leadership transition as the company prepares for one of its most important launches of the year.

Alongside its product rollout, OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia is strengthening its commitment to customer experience by rapidly expanding its sales and service footprint. After reaching 50 authorised dealerships nationwide in 2025, the network is set to grow to 65 locations in 2026. This expansion aims to ensure that premium sales support and aftersales services remain easily accessible to the brand’s growing community of more than 25,000 owners across Malaysia.

To commemorate the upcoming launch and the festive Chinese New Year period, OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia is offering limited-time incentives for early buyers. Customers who book the JAECOO J5 will receive a comprehensive reward package valued at RM8,888, which includes first-year insurance coverage, an exclusive accessories bundle, and a festive “Angpow” rebate. Meanwhile, buyers of the OMODA C9 PHEV can enjoy a special Angpow rebate alongside a complimentary Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) connector cable.
Complementing the J5’s positioning as an “Urban Explorer,” the complimentary Accessories Trio—worth RM2,000—adds a lifestyle-driven touch to the ownership experience. The bundle includes a car subwoofer engineered for richer audio performance, a wireless karaoke microphone that transforms the cabin into a mobile entertainment space, and a rugged multi-functional flashlight designed for outdoor use and added safety during night-time activities.

The JAECOO J5, alongside the OMODA C9 PHEV with an estimated price of RM220,000, represents only the opening chapter of OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia’s 2026 product roadmap. The brand has hinted at additional new model introductions planned for the second half of the year, spanning the premium SUV and electrified segments, further broadening its portfolio in the local market.
Commenting on the upcoming launch, Chris Tan said the JAECOO J5 has already generated strong interest ahead of its arrival. He emphasised that the early bird rewards are part of the brand’s effort to deliver tangible value to its supporters, while ongoing investments in dealership expansion will continue to enhance the ownership ecosystem. According to him, the J5 and C9 PHEV are just the beginning of a pipeline that aims to reshape Malaysia’s automotive landscape throughout 2026.
Official test drives for the JAECOO J5 are now available at selected authorised dealerships nationwide. In addition, OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia’s Chinese New Year sales campaign for all current models remains valid until 28 February 2026, offering customers further opportunities to engage with the brand ahead of a busy year of launches.
