Bermaz XPENG Sdn Bhd has expanded its local electric vehicle portfolio with the introduction of the New XPENG G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV Standard Range. Following the positive reception of the Long Range and AWD Performance variants launched in October 2025, the new Standard Range marks a strategic step in making XPENG’s advanced EV technology more attainable for Malaysian buyers. Priced from RM158,888*, the latest addition blends intelligent features, everyday performance, and compelling value.
According to Dato’ Sri Francis Lee, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bermaz Auto Berhad, the introduction of the Standard Range reflects XPENG’s long-term vision in Malaysia. The model is designed to offer more drivers access to cutting-edge electric mobility without sacrificing the innovation and intelligence that define the brand, while meeting the evolving demands of the local market.
Built on XPENG’s advanced SEPA 2.0 architecture, the G6 Standard Range retains the model’s signature balance of efficiency, rigidity, and responsiveness. The platform integrates core vehicle architecture with intelligent software and AI-powered systems, forming the foundation for consistent performance and reliability across the G6 lineup. With an optimised battery and motor setup, the Standard Range delivers a driving experience tailored for daily usability while maintaining the dynamic character of the G6.
Efficiency and charging convenience are key highlights. The G6 Standard Range supports ultra-fast charging, replenishing its battery from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes via its 800V 5C charging platform. Its 68.5 kWh battery, which is 50 kg lighter than the Long Range variant, improves overall efficiency and driving responsiveness. Energy consumption is rated as low as 16.6 kWh per 100 km, with a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 480 km. Practical considerations are also addressed, as the vehicle consumes only around 1% battery per hour when parked with air conditioning running, enhancing comfort without compromising range.
On the technology front, the G6 Standard Range comes standard with XPILOT Assist, XPENG’s intelligent driving assistance suite. Powered by a class-leading 21.5 TOPS computing platform, the system processes real-time data with high precision to deliver smooth, natural driving support. Features such as Autonomous Parking Assist, Auto Exit Parking Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Centering Control work together to provide confident assistance in everyday driving situations, from urban traffic to highway cruising.
Inside, the G6 Standard Range continues the model’s modern and technology-focused cabin design. Soft-touch materials, ambient lighting, and a clean, intuitive layout create a refined driving environment. XPENG’s intelligent software enhances daily convenience through features like customizable X Combo settings, allowing functions such as seat cooling to activate automatically. Rear passengers benefit from improved seat ergonomics, while the clear 360-degree camera system and panoramic sense of space add to overall comfort and usability.
Powering the G6 Standard Range is a single-motor setup producing 185 kW and 440 Nm of torque, delivering smooth and confident acceleration. The lighter overall weight improves agility, while carefully tuned suspension ensures a balanced ride that combines stability, comfort, and composure during cornering and lane changes. The result is a driving experience that feels refined yet engaging, well suited to daily commuting and longer journeys alike.
Fully imported from China, the New XPENG G6 Standard Range is now open for booking in Malaysia. Buyers will enjoy added ownership benefits, including a choice between a two-year unlimited charging package with JomCharge or a complimentary 11kW wallbox with installation by DC Handal. Every purchase is backed by a comprehensive ownership package, featuring a five-year or 120,000 km vehicle warranty, five years of free service and maintenance or 100,000 km, and an eight-year high-voltage battery warranty covering up to 160,000 km.
Bermaz XPENG also confirmed that all other XPENG models sold in Malaysia remain unchanged in terms of specifications, features, and pricing, allowing customers to continue purchasing with confidence. The G6 Standard Range will make its public appearance at the upcoming XPENG Roadshow, happening from 14 to 18 January 2026 at LUXE, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
