Sime Darby Property Berhad has strengthened its standing as one of Malaysia’s most respected real estate developers after receiving multiple national accolades recognising excellence in corporate governance, brand credibility and sustainable development. The achievements underscore the Group’s disciplined approach to long-term value creation and responsible stewardship across its portfolio.

At the National Corporate Governance & Sustainability Awards 2025 (NACGSA), organised by the Minority Shareholder Watch Group (MSWG), Sime Darby Property was honoured with the Industry Excellence Award in the Property category and placed fifth among the Top 50 Public Listed Companies. This distinction positions the Group as the highest-ranked property developer on the list and marks its first-ever recognition at NACGSA. The awards are determined through a comprehensive evaluation framework covering board leadership, shareholder rights, transparency, sustainability practices and stakeholder engagement.

The latest recognition builds on the Group’s earlier success at the ASEAN Corporate Governance Awards 2025, where Sime Darby Property also secured a Top 50 Public Listed Companies ranking. Together, these achievements reflect consistent standards in governance, disclosure and accountability, reinforcing investor and stakeholder confidence in the Group’s long-term strategy.

Beyond governance, Sime Darby Property continued to demonstrate strong brand equity by securing the Platinum Award in the Property category at the Putra Brand Awards 2025. This marks the Group’s fourth consecutive Platinum win and its fifth overall, highlighting sustained consumer trust in the Sime Darby Property brand. Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents of Malaysia (4As) in partnership with Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands, the Putra Brand Awards are determined entirely by consumers through a nationwide survey involving more than 20,000 respondents.

Adding to its list of achievements, the Group was also named Best EV Friendly Property Development Company at the Malaysia Car of the Year (MCOTY) Awards 2025. The recognition acknowledges Sime Darby Property’s leadership in integrating electric vehicle–ready infrastructure across its developments, supporting greener mobility and the creation of more sustainable communities.

Commenting on the accolades, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Seri Azmir Merican said the awards reflect the collective commitment of the organisation to strong standards and long-term outcomes. He noted that being recognised for governance excellence while maintaining consumer trust validates the Group’s focus on operational rigour, sustainability and enduring value creation, guided by its purpose to be a value multiplier for people, businesses, economies and the planet.
