Kia Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd (KSM) is taking decisive steps to rebuild brand trust and strengthen its presence in the Malaysian automotive market. The company’s renewed strategy focuses on competitive pricing, customer loyalty, and comprehensive ownership support to reaffirm Kia’s commitment to both long-standing and new customers.
“Our journey in 2026 marks a fresh beginning for Kia in Malaysia,” said Hyung Ho Kim, President and CEO of Kia Sales Malaysia. “Through a dedicated National Sales Company, we are committed to taking care of our customers and inspiring progress with innovative mobility solutions.”
KSM’s initial initiatives include a revamped pricing structure, the introduction of a customer loyalty programme, corporate incentives, and Kia-branded insurance. Emily Lek, Managing Director, emphasized that the changes are designed to answer the question, “Why Kia?” by ensuring that vehicles are appropriately specified for the Malaysian market and offered at competitive prices. “We invite both legacy and new Kia fans to our showrooms to experience the new Kia journey firsthand,” she added.
Effective 1 January 2026, the Kia Sportage and Kia Carnival are now competitively priced, with the Sportage starting from RM128,800. These adjustments position Kia’s SUVs and MPVs strongly within their respective segments.
Adding further value, all newly purchased Kia vehicles in Malaysia will carry a five-year or 150,000 km warranty, in line with global standards. KSM has also reduced prices for genuine Kia spare parts by an average of 15%, while its newly established parts warehouse in Shah Alam ensures faster and more reliable after-sales support.
KSM is also introducing the Kia Circle loyalty programme, which provides cash rebates of up to RM6,000 for existing Kia owners upgrading to a new model. The programme extends benefits to family members, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to its owner community.
For corporate clients, the Kia Professional programme offers exclusive concessions of up to 3% for professionals and major corporations, with additional incentives for larger fleet purchases.
To complement its sales and after-sales efforts, KSM is launching Kia Cares, an insurance programme underwritten by Berjaya Sompo, Zurich, and Zurich Takaful. The plan provides comprehensive protection for accidental loss or damage and optional add-ons, including all-driver coverage, agreed value for up to 15 years, unlimited towing, full special perils coverage, and personal accident coverage of up to RM100,000.
Kia enthusiasts can explore the full product range, including the Kia Sportage, Kia Carnival, and Kia EV9, from 8 January 2026 onwards via the official Kia Malaysia website or at authorised showrooms for test drives and bookings.
