JETOUR Malaysia has marked a major milestone ahead of its local market entry, with the JETOUR T2 earning a prestigious 5-star rating from the ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme (ASEAN NCAP) under the 2021–2025 evaluation protocol. Achieving an impressive overall score of 86.50 points, the result reinforces JETOUR’s emphasis on safety as a core pillar of its vehicle development strategy for Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region.

The robustly built SUV, weighing 1,870 kg, demonstrated strong performance across all assessment categories. It scored 37.17 out of 40 points for Adult Occupant Protection, 15.94 out of 20 for Child Occupant Protection, 17.14 out of 20 for Safety Assist, and 16.25 out of 20 for Motorcycle Safety. These results highlight the T2’s comprehensive approach to protecting occupants and vulnerable road users alike, reflecting the growing importance of holistic safety standards in today’s vehicles.

This achievement comes at an opportune time, as the JETOUR T2 is set to make its Malaysian debut in the first quarter of 2026. The 5-star rating not only validates the SUV’s engineering integrity but also positions it competitively in a market where buyers increasingly expect high levels of safety alongside bold design, capable performance, and modern technology.

Commenting on the accomplishment, JETOUR Auto Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Mr. Fu Yong said the rating represents a strong endorsement of the T2’s overall safety credentials. He noted that the SUV has been engineered with a reinforced body structure and an extensive range of safety systems designed to protect occupants and help prevent accidents, giving future owners greater peace of mind when the model launches locally.

In terms of equipment, the JETOUR T2 comes standard with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System, and seatbelt reminders for all seating positions. It also features rear seat occupant detection, blind spot detection on both sides, pedestrian protection, child presence detection, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. Buyers can further enhance safety with optional advanced driver assistance technologies such as Autonomous Emergency Braking for multiple scenarios, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Auto High Beam—rounding out a safety package designed to meet the expectations of modern Malaysian motorists.
