Elmina Lakeside Mall has become a focal point of festive goodwill as Sime Darby Property Berhad teams up with MINI Malaysia to roll out a heartwarming year-end charity initiative. Running until 19 December 2025, the campaign invites the public to help make the holiday season brighter for 120 underprivileged children by fulfilling their Christmas wishes.

Rooted in Sime Darby Property’s vision of nurturing strong, connected communities and MINI’s global “Big Love” philosophy, the collaboration aims to bring people together for a meaningful cause. At the heart of the initiative is The Giving Post, a dedicated collection point located within Elmina Lakeside Mall. Adding a festive twist, a brightly adorned MINI Convertible serves as the official drop-off spot for donated gifts, symbolising joy, generosity and shared responsibility.

Appollo Leong, Chief Operating Officer – Township Development at Sime Darby Property, shared that Elmina Lakeside Mall is proud to support the initiative as venue sponsor. With its easy access via the Guthrie Corridor Expressway and convenient connections across the Klang Valley, the mall offers a welcoming space for the community to take part. He added that the goal is to encourage the public to share in the festive spirit and ensure that no child feels left out during the celebrations.

The campaign supports Rumah Kasih Harmoni Paya Jaras, a local welfare home that cares for orphans and children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Participation is simple and purposeful: visitors can select a numbered wish tab from the board at The Giving Post, with each tab representing a specific item requested by a child. Donors are encouraged to purchase the exact item listed and place it at the collection point, ensuring every gift reaches its intended recipient.

To safeguard the wellbeing of the children, all donated items must be brand new and unopened. The Giving Post is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. throughout the campaign period at Elmina Lakeside Mall.

Linnet Yew, Director of MINI Malaysia, emphasised that the brand’s belief in “Big Love” goes beyond words. She noted that the collaboration allows both partners to channel their collective energy towards a cause that truly matters. The transformation of the MINI Convertible into a symbol of hope reflects the spirit of the campaign, culminating in a special delivery that brings kindness directly to those in need.

The initiative reaches its finale on Saturday, 20 December 2025, with The Big Love Drive. Approximately 20 MINI owners will gather at Elmina Lakeside Mall to load the collected gifts before forming a convoy to Rumah Kasih Harmoni. The drive ensures that all presents are delivered personally, just in time for the festive season.

Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, visitors can also enjoy weekend MINI test drives from 5 to 28 December, offering a chance to experience the brand up close while supporting a broader community effort.

This festive collaboration reflects Sime Darby Property’s ongoing commitment to creating townships that go beyond physical spaces, fostering care, compassion and social responsibility. By partnering with like-minded brands such as MINI Malaysia, the Group continues to create meaningful experiences that strengthen community bonds and inspire generosity among residents and visitors alike.
