Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad has stepped up its response to recent flooding across the country, rolling out a comprehensive assistance programme aimed at supporting customers impacted by heavy rainfall and rising water levels. With more adverse weather expected toward the end of the year, the insurer is focusing on speed, accessibility and compassion to ease the burden faced by affected policyholders.

To ensure swift on-ground support, Allianz General has placed its Road Rangers towing fleet on standby nationwide and deployed six Allianz-branded 4×4 vehicles alongside dedicated adjuster teams to severely affected areas, including Kedah, Kelantan and the Klang Valley. This proactive deployment is designed to accelerate claims assessments and shorten settlement timelines, helping customers recover financially as quickly as possible.

According to Allianz General’s Chief Claims Officer, Damian Williams, the company’s priority is to deliver immediate and meaningful assistance during this challenging period. By streamlining claims processes and enhancing on-site support, Allianz General aims to reduce the stress and disruption caused by flood damage.

Customers are advised to report flood-related claims by calling Allianz General’s hotline at 1-800-22-5542, allowing the claims process to begin without delay. Free towing services are also available to policyholders with Motor Car Comprehensive, Motorcycle Comprehensive and Motorcycle Plus Comprehensive coverage through the same contact number.

For motor policyholders protected under the Special Perils extension, the claims procedure has been simplified to enable faster processing, with only policy details required for verification. Claims settlements are being fast-tracked across both individual and commercial policies, including Smart Home Cover, Fire insurance and Allianz Business Shield. In many cases, settlements or interim payments will be issued within five days following an adjuster’s site visit.

To further ease financial pressure, Allianz General is temporarily waiving reinstatement value and mortgagee clauses for affected individual policyholders. Commercial fire insurance customers will also receive interim payments within five days of assessment, with additional interim payouts provided if claims extend beyond 28 days.
