Porsche continues to redefine automotive performance and luxury with the launch of the all-electric Cayenne, marking a new era for the iconic SUV. First introduced in 2002 as the brand’s bold entry into the SUV market, the Cayenne quickly became a global success. Now, Porsche transfers its legendary sports car DNA into electrification, combining high-performance power with everyday usability.

“The Cayenne Electric shows performance in a completely new dimension, with innovative technologies that we have developed in motorsport. It sets new standards in the SUV segment, both in driving characteristics and charging,” said Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG. With about 36% of Porsche sports cars sold globally now electrified, the Cayenne Electric represents the next milestone in the brand’s transformation.

The Cayenne Electric family features two models: the entry-level Cayenne Electric and the high-performance Cayenne Turbo Electric. Both models come with all-wheel drive and Porsche’s electronic Traction Management (ePTM). The Turbo Electric delivers staggering figures—0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 7.4 seconds, and a top speed of 260 km/h. Its drive system produces up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and 1,500 Nm of torque in Launch Control mode, with Formula E-level energy recuperation of up to 600 kW. The standard Cayenne Electric accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and reaches 230 km/h, while offering exceptional everyday usability.

Advanced chassis technologies, including adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), rear-axle steering, and Porsche Active Ride, deliver unparalleled comfort, stability, and handling across all terrains. Optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) further enhance the Turbo’s performance.

At the heart of the Cayenne Electric is a newly developed 113 kWh high-voltage battery with double-sided cooling. Combined with 800-volt technology, the Cayenne Electric achieves a WLTP range of up to 642 km for the standard model and 623 km for the Turbo. DC fast charging reaches up to 400 kW, replenishing 10-80% battery capacity in under 16 minutes, while Porsche Wireless Charging provides convenient 11 kW inductive charging.

The Cayenne Electric maintains Porsche’s signature proportions while introducing aerodynamic enhancements, including a drag coefficient of just 0.25. Design highlights include a low bonnet, slim Matrix LED headlights, frameless doors, and a striking rear light strip with animated graphics. Optional Off-Road packages enhance capability, while Porsche Active Aerodynamics optimizes airflow for efficiency and performance.

The new Cayenne Electric is longer, wider, and offers a longer wheelbase for enhanced rear passenger comfort. Rear seats are fully adjustable, and luggage space ranges from 781 to 1,588 litres, complemented by a 90-litre front trunk and a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes. Inside, Mood Modes adapt lighting, climate, sound, and displays to suit driver preference, while innovations such as panel heating and an animated communication light enhance comfort.

Customers can customise the Cayenne Electric extensively, choosing from 13 exterior colours, nine wheel designs, 12 interior combinations, and multiple accent packages. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur allows one-off personalisation, including custom-built timepieces aligned with the vehicle design.

The Cayenne Electric features Porsche’s largest display area ever, with a curved OLED Flow Display, optional 14.9-inch passenger display, and AR head-up display. Digital interaction is intuitive, with widgets, third-party app integration, advanced voice control, and the Porsche Digital Key for seamless access.

The Cayenne Electric complements Porsche’s ongoing commitment to offering flexible powertrain options. “With the electrification of the Cayenne, we are reaching a new level of performance that sets standards for the future, while continuing to offer combustion and hybrid engines well into the next decade,” said Matthias Becker, Member of the Board of Management, Sales and Marketing. Customers now enjoy a choice of fully electric, hybrid, or combustion options in the Cayenne and across Porsche’s portfolio.

With its combination of supercar-level performance, cutting-edge technology, and uncompromising utility, the all-electric Cayenne sets a new benchmark for the luxury SUV segment and marks a major step in Porsche’s electrified future.
