iCAUR Malaysia has officially launched the iCAUR V23, the brand’s second model for the local market, following the success of the iCAUR 03. With the launch of the V23, it aims to redefine adventure mobility by combining performance, safety, and everyday versatility.
At the launch event, Chery International Executive Vice President, Mr. Chen Chun Qing, highlighted the brand’s vision, stating, “iCAUR is a key component of Chery’s long-term strategy, ‘Co-Create, Co-Define,’ reflecting our transformation from a traditional automaker into a developer of intelligent, user-driven mobility solutions.” Chery Corporate Malaysia Executive Vice President, Men Lin Bo, added that the V23 represents a fresh approach to electric vehicle (EV) mobility, appealing to modern drivers, explorers, and trendsetters alike.
The iCAUR V23 draws inspiration from classic 4×4 icons while embracing modern electric-age aesthetics. Measuring 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,845 mm in height, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase, the SUV balances a commanding exterior presence with a practical, spacious interior. Short overhangs at both ends support serious off-road capability, including a 42-degree approach angle, a 41-degree departure angle, and 40% gradeability. With 210 mm ground clearance, the V23 can navigate challenging terrain and handle water depths up to 600 mm.
The exterior design includes LED headlights and taillights, a high-mounted third brake light integrated into the rear storage box, side steps, and interior grab handles for added convenience. Wheel options vary between the 2WD (19-inch wheels) and iWD (21-inch wheels) variants, enhancing both off-road readiness and modern styling.
The iCAUR V23 comes in two configurations tailored for different driving needs. The 2WD variant features a rear-mounted electric motor producing 100 kW (136 PS) and 180 Nm of torque, paired with a 59.9 kWh LFP battery, delivering up to 360 km of range (NEDC). The iWD variant adds a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with 155 kW (211 PS) and 292 Nm of torque, supported by an 81.8 kWh NMC battery for up to 430 km of range.
Both variants benefit from efficient charging options: AC charging at 6.6 kW, with DC fast charging up to 85 kW for 2WD and 104 kW for iWD. The V23’s compact electric drive module integrates key components, ensuring smooth, responsive power and confident handling in all conditions.
Built around a high-strength steel cage, the V23 features a comprehensive safety suite including six airbags and Level 2 ADAS, supported by millimetre-wave radar. Standard features include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Traffic Jam Assist, and more.
Practicality and convenience are central to the interior design. A 15.4-inch QuadHD touchscreen powered by a Snapdragon 8155 processor, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a premium 7-speaker audio system, ventilated and massage seats, and flexible storage up to 744 litres ensure comfort and functionality. Drive modes cater to varying driving scenarios, from ECO and Sport to Off-Road in the iWD variant.
The iCAUR V23 is priced at RM119,800 for the 2WD and RM132,800 for the iWD variant, with deliveries starting immediately. Early adopters benefit from an exclusive Early Bird Package for the first 1,000 buyers, including a 7 kW AC home charger, an auxiliary instrument cluster, and extended powertrain warranties.
iCAUR Malaysia is expanding its presence, approaching 20 network locations across Peninsular Malaysia in 2025, with planned openings in Sabah and Sarawak in early 2026, ensuring comprehensive sales and service coverage nationwide.
With its combination of off-road capability, electric performance, and advanced safety and convenience features, the iCAUR V23 positions itself as a game-changer in Malaysia’s EV SUV segment, catering to the adventurous yet modern driver.
