Tesla Malaysia has expanded its line-up with the introduction of the Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, a new variant offering an impressive 750 km range (WLTP) per charge — the longest of any Tesla currently available in the country. Alongside the launch, Tesla has announced a price adjustment of up to 6% across the Model 3 range, effective October 3, 2025, reinforcing its commitment to making electric mobility more accessible.

Priced from RM185,000, the Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive delivers a balanced mix of efficiency and performance. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, with a top speed of 201 km/h. Thanks to Tesla’s 250kW Supercharging, drivers can replenish up to 311 km of range in just 15 minutes, making long-distance travel easier and more convenient.

Compared to the Model 3 Long Range All-Wheel Drive, the new variant delivers around 9% more range, underscoring Tesla’s focus on efficiency without compromising driving dynamics.

The refreshed Model 3 now comes with a new front-facing camera to enhance visibility and improve parking safety, bringing the total to eight cameras supporting Tesla’s Autopilot system. A traditional turn signal stalk has also been reintroduced for driver convenience, while the addition of matte-black Tesla badges gives the car a modern, futuristic appearance.

The updated pricing makes Tesla ownership more attainable in Malaysia:

  • Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive – RM169,000 (after adjustment)
  • Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive – RM185,000 (new variant)
  • Model 3 Long Range All-Wheel Drive – RM199,000 (down from RM210,000)
  • Model 3 Performance – RM229,000 (down from RM242,000)

With these reductions, Tesla continues its mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy by offering premium EVs at competitive prices.

Tesla’s charging network in Malaysia continues to grow rapidly, supporting its expanding customer base of over 10,000 owners. Currently, the network includes:

  • 15 Supercharging stations (68 Superchargers)
  • 16 Destination Charging stations (73 Destination Chargers)

New stations are slated to open by the end of 2025, including high-traffic locations such as Pavilion Damansara Heights, Nexus Bangsar South, and The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey.

Meanwhile, Tesla’s Home Charging Program — starting from RM1,900 with a one-year warranty — has seen strong adoption, with over 8,000 home chargers already installed nationwide, giving owners the convenience of charging where they live or work.

Tesla’s integrated approach goes beyond just vehicles, combining retail, after-sales, and charging infrastructure into a seamless ecosystem. By offering lower running costs, minimal maintenance, and the convenience of waking up to a fully charged battery, Tesla continues to redefine what car ownership means in the era of sustainable mobility.

The Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive will soon be available for test drives at Tesla Experience Centres in Malaysia. For updates, follow Tesla Malaysia on X (@Tesla_Malaysia) and Instagram (@teslamotorsmys).
