Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) has officially announced that bookings for the highly anticipated Proton e.MAS 5 will begin on Saturday, 4 October 2025, marking a milestone in Malaysia’s journey toward accessible electric mobility.

The all-new Proton e.MAS 5, a compact B-segment hatchback designed specifically for Malaysian roads, is set to redefine affordability in the EV market while offering the comfort and practicality of a larger C-segment car. Positioned as “an EV for every Malaysian,” the e.MAS 5 promises to make electrification more inclusive without compromising on space, functionality, or driving experience.

To kick off the booking campaign, PRO-NET will host a special Open for Booking Livestream from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM on launch day. The session will be co-hosted by entrepreneur and automotive personality Boss James alongside popular actress Norreen Iman, bringing together lifestyle, entertainment, and automotive expertise.

Viewers can expect interactive segments, product demonstrations, and real-time sharing sessions with motoring experts. Most importantly, the livestream will reveal the estimated pricing of the Proton e.MAS 5—one of the most anticipated announcements for Malaysian car buyers in 2025.

The event will be broadcast on Proton e.MAS official tiktok and Facebook channels, as well as the personal social platforms of the participating hosts and experts, ensuring wide reach and direct engagement with the public.

Since its debut at the MARii Autoshow 2025, followed by appearances in the e.MAS Tour MISI 5, the Electrify Your Life campaign, and the National Day Parade, the e.MAS 5 has captured the attention of more than three million Malaysians.

Beginning 4 October, Malaysians can secure their Proton e.MAS 5 either during the livestream or at Proton e.MAS dealerships nationwide. Bookings require a fee and come with exclusive early bird benefits, including a special booking rebate available only to a limited number of registrants.

With the e.MAS 5 positioned as the most affordable EV in Malaysia, demand is expected to be strong from the outset.
