PRO-NET (Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd) has officially wrapped up its highly successful MISI 5 Tour — a nationwide campaign that previewed the upcoming Proton e.MAS 5, Malaysia’s first affordable electric vehicle (EV). With the tour concluded, excitement now builds toward the grand launch of the Proton e.MAS 5 on 30 October 2025.

Spanning from August to October 2025, the MISI 5 Tour made 42 stops across 13 states and 29 towns, introducing thousands of Malaysians to the future of electric mobility. From bustling city centers to community-driven towns, PRO-NET’s goal was clear — to make EV technology relatable, practical, and within reach for the everyday driver.

The Proton e.MAS 5 was showcased through interactive displays, immersive test drives, and engaging activities at 20 Proton e.MAS dealerships and key landmarks nationwide. The tour covered five major regions — Central, Northern, East Coast, Southern, and East Malaysia — ensuring nationwide accessibility.

“The MISI 5 Tour was more than a promotional campaign; it was a mission to bring EVs to the people,” said Mr. Zhang Qiang, CEO of PRO-NET. “By visiting communities across 13 states, we aimed to spark awareness, foster confidence, and show Malaysians that the shift to electric mobility is both attainable and exciting. The response we received exceeded expectations, with strong interest from first-time EV viewers to future owners.”

Each region of the MISI 5 Tour featured a unique creative challenge led by local influencers and personalities, showcasing the Proton e.MAS 5’s versatility, innovation, and everyday practicality:

  • Mission #1 – Fashion on the Move (Central): Fashion designer Karl Shafek used the Proton e.MAS 5 as a stylish mobile studio during KL Fashion Week.
  • Mission #2 – Hot Meals, Zero Fuel (Northern): Food creator Soyabelacan prepared local dishes using the EV’s spacious 70L frunk.
  • Mission #3 – EV Paintbrush with Pentbrush (East Coast): Muralist Zameer Pentbrush transformed the e.MAS 5 into a moving canvas, emphasizing its smooth handling.
  • Mission #4 – Culture Lover (Southern): Johan Eskandar explored heritage and pet-friendly destinations in comfort and style.
  • Mission #5 – Thrill Seeker (East Malaysia): Content creator Ain Ramli powered a haunted livestream entirely using the e.MAS 5’s onboard tech.

These missions highlighted key features such as rapid charging (30% to 80% in just 21 minutes), smart cabin design, and intelligent pre-cooling for hot days — reinforcing the e.MAS 5’s real-world convenience.

Public feedback during the tour was overwhelmingly positive. Malaysians from all walks of life expressed enthusiasm for Proton’s commitment to accessible and sustainable mobility.

At the Proton e.MAS Setia Alam showroom, visitor Sharmaine Alexander shared: “The e.MAS 5 is the most affordable EV I’ve ever seen. Viewing it in person made me feel like owning an EV is finally possible.”

Adding to the momentum, PRO-NET’s live-streamed booking event on 4 October drew over 572,000 viewers across Proton’s official channels and partner influencers — a clear indicator of the nation’s excitement for the e.MAS 5.

With MISI 5 concluded, Malaysians now await the grand launch of the Proton e.MAS 5 on 30 October 2025. The event will feature live broadcasts, nationwide test drives, and detailed reveals of Proton’s latest EV milestone.
