Porsche Malaysia has officially unveiled the new Porsche 911 GT3 at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, reaffirming the marque’s motorsport legacy for Malaysian enthusiasts. The launch was highlighted by the presence of Porsche Brand Ambassador Jörg Bergmeister, who introduced customers, media, and motorsport fans to the latest iteration of the German icon.

At its core, the new 911 GT3 retains its naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six engine, now optimized to deliver 510 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Paired with an 8% shorter gear ratio across both the 7-speed PDK and the 6-speed GT manual transmission, the GT3 offers blistering acceleration—0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds with PDK and 3.9 seconds with manual, topping out at over 310 km/h.

Lightweight engineering plays a critical role in its agility. From forged aluminium wheels to optional magnesium rims and a lithium-ion battery, Porsche has trimmed the curb weight to as little as 1,420 kg in its lightest setup. With a revised aerodynamic package, including a redesigned diffuser, rear wing, and underbody fins, the GT3 delivers enhanced stability and control at speed, making it sharper than ever on both track and road.

For the first time in Malaysia, the Touring Package is available from launch, offering enthusiasts a subtler interpretation of the GT3. In place of the fixed rear wing, it adopts a retractable spoiler, creating a sleeker silhouette that pays homage to the timeless elegance of the 911. Inside, the Touring package features premium leather appointments and, for the first time, an optional rear seat system—making this high-performance sports car more versatile for daily use without compromising its racing pedigree.

The new 911 GT3 incorporates motorsport-inspired engineering, including aerodynamically shaped trailing arms on the double-wishbone front axle for improved downforce and brake cooling. Suspension refinements, adapted from the GT3 RS, further enhance stability, reducing pitching under heavy braking. On the track, the optimised damper tuning ensures confidence over kerbs and bumps, while everyday drivers will appreciate the more composed steering feel on winding roads.

Porsche offers greater customisation than ever, with packages tailored to different driving styles. The Weissach Package debuts on the GT3, adding extensive use of carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP), magnesium wheels, and Racetex finishes for a motorsport-inspired feel. Meanwhile, the Lightweight Package for the Touring variant reduces mass further with CFRP elements and magnesium wheels, complemented by a shortened gear lever derived from the 911 S/T. For track purists, a no-cost Clubsport Package is also available, featuring a roll cage, six-point harness, and fire extinguisher.

The driver-focused interior stays true to Porsche tradition, with features such as a rotary ignition switch and the “Track Screen” display mode, which highlights only essential performance data like tyre pressures and shift flashes. Optional lightweight bucket seats with CFRP shells and integrated thorax airbags further emphasise its motorsport heritage, while adaptive 18-way sports seats remain available for those prioritising comfort.

In true Porsche style, exclusivity extends beyond the car itself. Owners of the 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 Touring can opt for a bespoke chronograph by Porsche Design, featuring the COSC-certified WERK 01.200 movement, flyback function, and design cues inspired by the GT3’s rims and instrument cluster.

Priced from RM 2,290,000, the new Porsche 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 Touring are now available at Porsche Centres across Malaysia.
