iCAUR Malaysia has officially launched its first model for the local market — the iCAUR 03. Marking Malaysia’s entry into a new vehicle category, the iCAUR 03 is positioned as the country’s first fully electric, off-road capable SUV, blending rugged adventure capabilities with advanced safety, comfort, and cutting-edge technology.
Measuring 4,406 mm long, 1,910 mm wide, and 1,715 mm high, the iCAUR 03 commands attention with its i-BOX design language, angular lines, and distinctive LED lighting. Short overhangs enable impressive off-road credentials, with a 28-degree approach angle, 32-degree departure angle, and 55% gradeability.
Underpinning its adventurous character is a monocoque aluminium body structure with anti-corrosion protection rated for 30 years, delivering sports car-level torsional rigidity of 31,882 Nm. Complementing this is iCAUR’s 4-layer IPX8-rated battery armour, designed for resilience under extreme conditions.
The iCAUR 03 is available in two configurations:
- 2WD variant: 135 kW (184 PS), 220 Nm torque, 65.7 kWh LFP battery, range of 426 km (NEDC).
- iWD variant: 205 kW (279 PS), 385 Nm torque, dual-motor setup with intelligent rear bias, 69.8 kWh battery, range of 418 km (NEDC).
Both support 80 kW DC fast charging, 6.6 kW AC charging, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality. Adding to its versatility, the iROAD system offers 10 all-terrain drive modes and a rugged H-arm multilink rear suspension.
Standard safety highlights include six airbags and a full ADAS Level 2 suite with features like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blindspot Detection, and Traffic Jam Assist.
Inside, the tech-forward cabin features a 15.6-inch touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, paired with a 9.2-inch digital cluster. Connectivity is seamless with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an available 12-speaker INFINITY audio system on the iWD. Comfort is further enhanced with ventilated and massage front seats (iWD) and a flexible cargo capacity of up to 1,238 litres.
The iCAUR 03 is priced at RM119,800 (2WD) and RM129,800 (iWD), with the exclusive Black Phantom Edition available for RM20,000 extra. Customers booking before 17 September 2025 will enjoy Malaysia’s first unlimited EV charging package for a year via the JomCharge network, alongside a lifestyle package worth RM3,000, and a complimentary Wallbox charger.
Aftersales support includes a 7-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, an 8-year/160,000 km battery and drive unit warranty, and even a one-to-one battery replacement guarantee if capacity drops below 70%. Insurance protection extends to chargers and cables, plus unlimited towing.
Initially offered as a CBU import, local assembly of the iCAUR 03 will commence in January 2026 at the Chery Corporate Malaysia plant in Shah Alam. By September 2025, iCAUR plans to establish 18 retail outlets and nine service centres nationwide, including Sabah and Sarawak.
With the launch of the iCAUR 03, Malaysia not only gains a new SUV option but also witnesses the birth of a new automotive segment — one that merges electric mobility with adventure-ready capability.
