Proton Rolls Out MISI 5 Tour to Spark Nationwide Buzz for e.MAS 5 EV

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) has officially launched the MISI 5 Tour, a bold nationwide preview campaign for the much-anticipated Proton e.MAS 5 – the second model in its electric vehicle line-up. The tour, running from August to October 2025, will offer Malaysians a first-hand look at what’s set to be the country’s most accessible entry-level EV.

Targeting five major regions and spanning all 13 states, the MISI 5 Tour is designed to bring the Proton e.MAS 5 closer to the public through exclusive preview events at high-traffic tourist hotspots and Proton e.MAS dealerships. These events will give visitors the opportunity to explore the e.MAS 5’s features through walkarounds, interactive exhibits, and direct engagement with product experts—well ahead of its official launch.

With the e.MAS 5, we aim to build on that momentum by putting the car in the hands of the people before it hits showrooms,” said Mr. Zhang Qiang, CEO of PRO-NET. “The MISI 5 Tour is about letting Malaysians see how this EV can fit into their daily lives—whether you’re a young professional, a small family, or a first-time EV driver.”

The tour is structured around five regional legs: Central, Northern, East Coast, Southern, and East Malaysia. Each stop is carefully selected for maximum visibility and accessibility, from iconic landmarks like KLCC and Batu Caves, to bustling Proton dealerships in cities and suburbs alike.

Attendees can expect more than just static displays. They’ll be introduced to the e.MAS 5’s smart features such as pre-cooling, real-time charge planning, and fast-charging capabilities—allowing an 80% charge in less than a typical lunch break. The car’s adaptable interior also gets attention, with storage tailored for everyday needs, from gym bags and groceries to strollers and travel gear.

Adding a unique local flavour, each region will be represented by a popular lifestyle influencer, each transforming the e.MAS 5 in creative ways that reflect local culture:

• Central Region: Fashion designer Karl Shafek (Fashionista) turns the e.MAS 5 into a mobile make-up studio during KL Fashion Week.
• Southern Region: Pet and culture enthusiast Johan Eskandar (Culture Lover) visits heritage sites with his feline companion.
• Northern Region: Culinary star Soyabelacan (Foodie) serves dishes made using the car’s spacious front trunk.
• East Coast: Mural artist Zameer Pentbrush (Creative Nomad) paints the car live, turning it into a rolling work of art.
• East Malaysia: High-energy influencer Ain Ramli (Thrillseeker) hosts a record-breaking haunted livestream using the e.MAS 5’s tech.

These immersive experiences underscore the tour’s main message: the Proton e.MAS 5 is not just a car—it’s a lifestyle enabler.

The MISI 5 Tour kicks off in the Central Region from 9 to 17 August, with landmark stops at Putra Mosque, Central Market, Saloma Bridge, and more on 15 August, and preview events at dealerships including Shah Alam, Setia Alam, Glenmarie, and Putrajaya throughout the week.
