PRO-NET has taken another major step toward advancing sustainable mobility in the country. On 26 August, the company officially delivered a fleet of electric vehicles (EVs) to the Ministry of Transport (MOT) during a handover ceremony at the MOT headquarters in Putrajaya.

This initiative aligns with the Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint (LCMB) 2021–2030, reinforcing Malaysia’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and promoting cleaner transportation solutions.

The event was graced by the Honourable Minister of Transport, YB Anthony Loke, along with senior representatives from PRO-NET. The handover formed part of a larger celebration that included two significant activities: the Majlis Pelancaran Bulan Kebangsaan Kementerian Pengangkutan & Sambutan Ulang Tahun Perbadanan Aset Keretapi (RAC) ke-33, and the Simbolik Penyerahan Kenderaan EV kepada Kementerian Pengangkutan dan Kempen Kibar Jalur Gemilang.

The EV fleet provided by PRO-NET features some of Malaysia’s most notable electric models, including Proton’s flagship e.MAS 7—recognized as the nation’s top-selling EV—alongside the smart #1 and smart #3. By offering these vehicles for government use, PRO-NET enables key decision-makers to gain firsthand experience with EV technology, including range, performance, and usability.

This move supports Malaysia’s ambitious goal of achieving 15% electrified vehicle adoption by 2030. It also helps policymakers understand the real-world challenges and opportunities of EV adoption, paving the way for better infrastructure planning, supportive policies, and long-term strategies to benefit Malaysian consumers and businesses alike.

Mr. Zhang Qiang, CEO of PRO-NET, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability: “This collaboration exemplifies our dedication to driving Malaysia’s transition towards sustainable mobility. By empowering government agencies with firsthand experience of Proton e.MAS and smart vehicles, we are fostering a deeper understanding and readiness for the electrified future.”

Through this initiative, PRO-NET demonstrates strong alignment with the national low-carbon agenda, ensuring that Malaysia is well-prepared to embrace the future of transportation.
