In the spirit of Merdeka and national unity, KMI Healthcare has partnered with AFA PRIME Berhad (AFA) to prioritize the health and safety of Malaysians traveling during one of the busiest holiday periods of the year. Together, the two organizations distributed 1,000 complimentary KMI Jaga Anda Mini Medical Kits at the Gombak Toll Plaza, a key gateway for those heading to the East Coast.
The initiative is part of KMI Healthcare’s Kesihatan Memenuhi Impian campaign, which aims to make healthcare more accessible and relevant in everyday life, and aligns with AFA’s ongoing road safety programme. This collaboration underscores a shared mission: to ensure Malaysians travel confidently and arrive safely at their destinations.
Each KMI Jaga Anda kit included essential first-aid items, a bottle of mineral water, and a reusable bag—simple yet impactful tools to help travellers stay hydrated, prepared, and mindful of their well-being on the road. Volunteers and representatives from both organizations were present to oversee smooth distribution, which was met with enthusiastic response from motorists.
Speaking on the campaign’s purpose, Dr. Rayney Azmi Ali, Chief Executive Officer of KMI Healthcare, highlighted the importance of extending healthcare accessibility beyond traditional settings. “This campaign reflects our mission to support Malaysians wherever they are—even on the road. By providing the KMI Jaga Anda kit, we remind everyone that health and safety should always be a priority, especially during festive seasons when the desire to reunite with loved ones is strongest,” he said.
Echoing this sentiment, Encik Ibrahim Tambi Cik Mohamad, General Manager and Head of AFA PRIME Berhad, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to safe and meaningful travel experiences: “As the concessionaire for KL-Karak and East Coast Expressway 1 (LPT1), this collaboration with KMI Healthcare demonstrates our shared commitment to road safety. Beyond developing efficient and sustainable highways, our goal is to ensure every journey is secure and connected to what matters most—family.”
Both organizations expressed plans to continue creating impactful initiatives to safeguard the well-being of Malaysian travellers, particularly during festive periods when highways see peak traffic. This effort not only promotes safety but also strengthens the sense of community and care that defines the Merdeka spirit.
