GAC Malaysia has officially named award-winning actor and beloved Malaysian personality Datuk Remy Ishak as its newest Brand Ambassador, joining fellow celebrity Jack Lim under the brand’s ONE GAC initiative. The announcement was made at the GAC & AION Showcase in 1 Utama Shopping Centre, marking another milestone in the brand’s rapid local expansion.

Remy, best known for his breakout role in the hit TV drama Nurkasih, has long been admired for his charisma, professionalism, and strong connection with Malaysian audiences. Over the years, he has represented numerous well-known brands, making him a natural fit for GAC Malaysia’s vision of combining refined style with everyday reliability.

He now shares the ambassador spotlight with Jack Lim, who has championed the brand since 2024, actively engaging with customers, promoting the GAC GS3 EMZOOM, and even visiting GAC’s headquarters in China to witness its cutting-edge innovations.

Warisan TC Holdings Bhd CEO, Tan Keng Meng, praised both ambassadors for embodying GAC’s core values. “Jack has been more than a representative—he’s been a true advocate. With Remy joining the family, we now have two prominent personalities who reflect our bold design, innovation, and customer-focused ethos,” he said.

Remy expressed his enthusiasm for the role, noting GAC’s bold design language, advanced technology, and growing presence in Malaysia. “I’m truly honoured to join a brand that not only matches my lifestyle and driving aspirations but also dares to stand out,” he remarked.

The event also highlighted the pre-sales launch of two key models:

  • GAC EMKOO – The second locally-assembled SUV, available in Premium (from RM120,000) and Premium Pro (from RM130,000) variants. Powered by a 1.5TGDI engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, it comes with a 5-year/150,000km vehicle warranty and a 7-year/180,000km engine and powertrain warranty.
  • GAC M8 PHEV – A flagship MPV blending luxury and hybrid efficiency, priced at RM333,000 (Premium) and RM380,000 (Luxury). Its 2.0-litre turbocharged plug-in hybrid powertrain delivers an impressive combined range of 1,038km, backed by a 5-year/150,000km vehicle warranty and 8-year/150,000km battery warranty.

Both Remy and Jack will be among the first owners of the GAC EMKOO in Malaysia, with customer deliveries expected by September 2025.
