This achievement further cements its reputation as a global leader, maintaining its position as China’s top passenger car exporter for an unprecedented 22 consecutive years.

July 2025 marked a defining moment for the Group with the “Double 500” milestone, as Chery rose rapidly up the Fortune Global 500 and Fortune China 500 rankings. The company now stands at 233rd globally and 59th in China — a significant leap from its 2024 placements, reflecting its accelerating global influence.

At the forefront of this momentum is OMODA | JAECOO, Chery’s fastest-growing brand that has redefined what attainable luxury and innovation mean for global drivers. In just over two years, OMODA | JAECOO has captured a commanding 37% share of Chery’s total exports, recording cumulative sales of more than 570,000 units. Its rapid rise set a new benchmark as the fastest-emerging automotive brand to surpass the half-million sales milestone.

Fueling this success is the brand’s commitment to future mobility, underpinned by its Super Hybrid System (SHS). In the first quarter of 2025 alone, New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sales surged by 460% year-on-year, while NEVs accounted for 40% of all exports in the first half of the year.

The brand’s impact extends across continents. In Europe, OMODA | JAECOO became the fastest-growing Chinese automotive brand, achieving a landmark 10,000-unit sales milestone in Spain within just 11 months. Meanwhile, in ASEAN, Malaysia has emerged as a pivotal market. Since the introduction of the JAECOO J7 in July 2024, the brand has rapidly expanded its local portfolio with the OMODA C9, the J7 PHEV, and most recently, the flagship J8 SUV in July 2025. In just one year, over 17,000 OMODA | JAECOO vehicles now ply Malaysian roads, securing the brand’s place among the nation’s Top 5 automotive marques and establishing it as Malaysia’s most successful Chinese carmaker.

Looking ahead, OMODA | JAECOO is set to anchor Chery’s global expansion strategy. Malaysia will serve as the centralised right-hand drive hub, supporting deeper market penetration across Europe, South America, and the broader ASEAN region.
