Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) and PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM) have announced a significant leadership transition, marking a new chapter in their journey to expand their presence in Malaysia’s dynamic automotive market.

Renate Noessler has been appointed as the first female leader of VPCM, stepping into the role of Co-Managing Director alongside Kurt Leitner. This landmark appointment also sees Noessler co-leading operations at PHSAM, where she will play a crucial role in strengthening the Audi brand in Malaysia. The leadership duo is set to drive both brands forward with a renewed focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and strategic growth.

With over 30 years of global experience in the automotive sector, Renate Noessler brings a wealth of knowledge in sales, marketing, and business consulting. Her most recent role as General Manager of Sales at Audi Singapore showcased her capability in accelerating brand performance across Southeast Asia. Her leadership style, known for its cultural sensitivity and forward-thinking approach, is expected to enhance the local operations of both Volkswagen and Audi.

“I am honoured to take on this role and continue working with customers, dealer partners, the media, and stakeholders in Malaysia,” said Noessler. “With our growing network at VPCM and PHSAM, we will be focused on delivering exceptional experiences to our customers. I am confident that both brands will continue to thrive in this ever-evolving landscape.”

This leadership transition follows the departure of Denyu Bostandzhiev, who led VPCM and PHSAM since July 2023. Under his guidance, the brands experienced notable milestones including the launch of the Volkswagen Touareg, various special edition models, and the introduction of the locally assembled Audi Q7. Denyu now moves on to a new leadership role with Porsche Holdings Salzburg (PHS) in Bulgaria.
