The seventh edition of Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Kuala Lumpur (MBFWKL) returns in 2025 with a bold celebration of timeless elegance, creative reinvention, and visionary design. Held from 13 to 15 June at The Exchange TRX, this year’s event—centered around the theme “The Icon”—unites fashion and automotive excellence to showcase how heritage and innovation can coexist in harmony.

MBFWKL 2025 offers more than just a runway—it serves as a cultural platform where art, sustainability, and luxury converge. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s Vice President of Marketing & Sales, Nadia Trimmel, captured the spirit of the event, stating, “Being iconic means evolving with intention—through innovation, design, and a commitment to a more sustainable future.” This ethos is woven through every element of the event, from the fashion collections to the unveiling of automotive milestones.

At the heart of this year’s showcase is the exclusive premiere of the all-new electric G-Class. A revolutionary step forward, this next-generation SUV preserves the rugged charm of its predecessor while embracing the future of sustainable mobility. With its electrified powertrain and unmistakable silhouette, the new G-Class exemplifies Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to modern luxury without compromising legacy.

Sixteen designers took to the MBFWKL runway, each interpreting the idea of “icon” in their own distinct voice. Returning designers such as Justin Yap, Dickson Lim, and Celest Thoi (Coterie) showcased collections that blend precision, identity, and evolution. Yap’s structured tailoring, Lim’s layered textures, and Ellie Lim’s (EL) contemporary elegance all reflect a balance of artistry and innovation.

Emerging designers made their mark as well. SETH&LUNA MALAYA impressed with garments that fuse cultural heritage with modular, practical design, while TEMMA PRASETIO from Jakarta offered sleek, gender-neutral pieces grounded in urban minimalism. Debuting labels like JNBY and SEIBU Kuala Lumpur brought ready-to-wear sophistication that straddles lifestyle and high fashion, emphasizing that true luxury today is about personal expression rather than extravagance.

As the fashion world turned heads on the runway, Mercedes-Benz continued to dazzle with its high-performance AMG line. Models such as the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé, SL 63 4MATIC+, and EQE 53 4MATIC+ stood alongside their design counterparts, proving that performance and elegance are not mutually exclusive. Each vehicle echoes the same principles found in haute couture—precision engineering, daring design, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

MBFWKL 2025 also concludes a weeklong roadshow (9–15 June), inviting the public to experience Mercedes-Benz’s blend of heritage and forward-thinking innovation. The journey culminates at The Exchange TRX, where fashion, technology, and lifestyle intersect. Enhancing the immersive experience are key brand partners including Schwarzkopf Professional, M•A•C Cosmetics, Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur, Kimarie Academy, Luen Heng, and SEIBU.

In every stitch of fabric and curve of metal, MBFWKL 2025 reflects a shared vision: that being iconic isn’t about remaining static—it’s about continual transformation. Through visionary fashion and cutting-edge automotive design, Mercedes-Benz and its creative collaborators affirm that true icons are not just admired—they evolve.
