Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has taken high-performance motoring to thrilling new heights with the launch of two AMG flagships—the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé and the electrifying SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE Roadster. Blending motorsport DNA with modern luxury, both models exemplify AMG’s relentless pursuit of innovation, speed, and everyday usability.

At the heart of the second-generation GT 63 lies a handcrafted 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, built in Affalterbach under the “One Man, One Engine” philosophy. With 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque, it rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 315 km/h.

Visually, the GT 63 is a sculpture in motion—featuring a long wheelbase, muscular haunches, a steeply raked windscreen, and active aerodynamic elements like a rear spoiler and two-part AIRPANEL. Inside, an ultra-modern cockpit features AMG Performance seats, an 11.9-inch touchscreen, and a fully digital cluster, putting over 80 vehicle metrics at the driver’s fingertips through the MBUX system.

Its AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension, and rear-axle steering deliver unwavering composure in every corner. With features like the AMG TRACK PACE telemetry system and a patent-pending underbody aero element, the GT 63 turns any road into a racetrack.

The SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE takes electrified performance to new extremes as the most powerful SL ever, boasting a combined output of 816 hp and 1,420 Nm of torque. Its hybrid drivetrain marries a twin-turbo V8 with a 150 kW electric motor mounted directly on the rear axle, enabling 0–100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 317 km/h.

Inspired by Formula 1™ hybrid technology, its 6.1 kWh AMG High Performance battery focuses on power delivery rather than range (~13 km EAER), paired with an electric two-speed transmission and four-stage regenerative braking for energy recovery and enhanced control.

The SL’s design is as dynamic as its performance, with bold AMG styling, an active rear spoiler, and a carbon underbody aero system. Inside, the 2+2 layout balances luxury and function, offering AMG Performance seats, massage options, Nappa leather, and hybrid-specific displays via the MBUX infotainment system.

Drivers can choose from eight AMG DYNAMIC SELECT modes, including silent electric driving and full-throttle “RACE” mode, adapting every element from steering to suspension to suit the mood.

Both models share more than just blistering performance—they redefine what it means to drive an AMG in 2025. Whether it’s the GT 63’s track-honed chassis or the SL 63’s race-derived hybrid system, each vehicle is crafted to offer the pinnacle of luxury and technology.

To celebrate these launches, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia also unveiled the AMG Defensive Driving Experience at the Sepang International Circuit, inviting drivers to master AMG machinery under expert guidance—an initiative reinforcing AMG’s commitment to exhilarating yet responsible driving.
