Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford has unveiled an innovative aftersales service designed to bring professional car maintenance directly to customers’ doorsteps. The newly introduced Ford Mobile Service (FMS) aims to simplify vehicle upkeep by offering certified maintenance and light repairs without the hassle of visiting a service centre.
Launching initially with a pilot programme at the Ford Ara Damansara dealership, the FMS provides a flexible and convenient solution for Ford owners. Customers can now book appointments for essential services such as engine oil changes, multipoint inspections, battery replacements, and wiper and filter swaps, all performed by Ford-certified technicians using genuine parts and approved tools.
Turse Zuhair, Managing Director of Auto ConneXion-Ford, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, highlighting the company’s commitment to enhancing the vehicle ownership experience. “The Ford Mobile Service allows our customers to enjoy professional care with the same trust and quality they expect from our dealerships, delivered straight to their preferred location and time,” he said.
Operating Monday through Friday with four daily service slots from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and two slots on Saturdays between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, the FMS currently covers a 20-kilometre radius around Ford Ara Damansara. A fixed call-out fee applies within this area, with additional charges for longer distances. Starting June, bookings can be conveniently made via the SDM OneGo app—available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store—or by calling Ford Ara Damansara’s customer service hotline at 03-7621 5111.
To encourage early adoption, Auto ConneXion is offering a special limited-time discount on the standard call-out fee, allowing customers to experience this new level of convenience at a reduced cost.
Following the pilot phase, the company plans to extend the mobile service offering to other Ford dealerships nationwide, setting a new standard for aftersales care in Malaysia.
