Tesla Malaysia has officially begun deliveries of the highly anticipated New Model Y, with first units reaching customers at Tesla Delivery Centre Cyberjaya, as well as the Tesla Service Centres in Penang and Johor. This milestone signifies another major push in the brand’s efforts to accelerate Malaysia’s transition from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs).

Unveiled globally in January, the New Model Y is now available to Malaysian drivers in two configurations: Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range, priced from RM195,450 and RM242,450 respectively. As the world’s best-selling vehicle and a multi-year leader in automotive safety ratings, the Model Y continues to elevate the EV experience with its blend of performance, technology, and futuristic design.

Drawing inspiration from the Cybertruck and Cybercab, the new iteration of Model Y features distinctive styling elements including the automotive industry’s first indirect reflective body panel taillights and a striking front cross lightbar, enhancing its bold and futuristic aesthetic.

New Model Y owners will benefit from Tesla’s growing charging infrastructure throughout Malaysia. Complimentary charging is available at all 15 Tesla Destination Charging Stations, which feature a total of 70 Destination Chargers. Additionally, owners enjoy the lowest Supercharging rate in the country at RM1.19/kWh across 14 Supercharging Stations equipped with 64 Superchargers.

Tesla plans to further expand this network, with six new Supercharging stations slated to open soon in key locations such as Pavilion Damansara Heights, Bangsar South, IPC Shopping Centre, I-City Finance Avenue, The Mall at Mid Valley Southkey, and Toppen Shopping Centre. This continued infrastructure development ensures a seamless and reliable charging experience for all Tesla drivers.

To make the transition to electric mobility even more attractive, Tesla is offering a suite of ownership incentives. These include complimentary home charging support, competitive low-interest financing options, and ownership benefits totaling up to RM28,000.

Furthermore, the Tesla Refer & Earn program encourages owners to invite friends and family into the Tesla community, with the opportunity to earn up to RM15,000 in rewards annually. Tesla has also introduced the Green Mobility Incentives Program, aimed at empowering like-minded organizations and their employees to embrace sustainable transportation solutions.

With the launch of the New Model Y and continued investments in charging infrastructure and customer incentives, Tesla Malaysia reinforces its commitment to a sustainable future. As the country moves toward a cleaner, electric-powered landscape, Tesla is at the forefront, providing innovative solutions that blend convenience, style, and performance.
