Marking its first-ever appearance at the country’s largest automotive exhibition, Dongfeng—represented locally by Central Auto Distributors Berhad (CADB)—has launched the exclusive ‘My 1st EV’ campaign, designed to make EV ownership more accessible to first-time buyers. This campaign coincides with the official unveiling of the new Silver 2025 Edition of the Dongfeng BOX, which adds a sleek, modern option to the existing colour lineup of White, Purple, Blue, and Green.

In a bid to democratize electric vehicle ownership, CADB is offering a limited-time clearance promotion for the MY2024 Dongfeng BOX E3 variant, with a significant price adjustment from RM115,000 to a more accessible RM100,000. On top of this, buyers can enjoy a promotional giveaway package worth up to RM20,000, which includes a complimentary 3-pin portable charger and front storage cabin cover (while stocks last).

For the newer MY2025 version, CADB is offering an exclusive giveaway package available through authorized dealers, reinforcing its value-driven approach while enhancing the ownership experience.

Taking center stage at MAS 2025 is the Silver Edition of the Dongfeng BOX E3. Powered by a 42.3 kWh battery, the EV delivers an impressive range of up to 430 km (CLTC). Its 70 kW (94 hp) electric motor produces 160 Nm of torque, providing efficient urban mobility with a premium edge. Equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, wireless charging, and automated parking, the Silver Edition balances cutting-edge technology with refined style.

The introduction of the silver colour is more than a visual update. As Datuk Haji Mohamed Nazari Bin Noordin, Managing Director of CADB, noted, silver symbolizes modernity, innovation, and status—qualities that align with Dongfeng’s vision for sustainable urban transport. “This launch highlights our support for the government’s green mobility agenda and our commitment to offering high-quality, affordable EVs for everyday Malaysians,” he stated.

Looking beyond MAS 2025, CADB has confirmed plans to launch two new New Energy Vehicle (NEV) models in the latter half of the year:

  • Q3 2025: A brand-new NEV sports sedan
  • Q4 2025: A cutting-edge NEV SUV

These upcoming models are aimed at addressing the increasing demand for vehicles that offer both environmental consciousness and contemporary performance.
