In a powerful push towards a greener future, Stellantis Malaysia has teamed up with Public Bank to launch the “Paint the Town Green with EV Financing” initiative—an ambitious campaign designed to make electric vehicle (EV) ownership more attainable and appealing for Malaysians.

At the heart of this collaboration lies Public Bank’s exclusive “Paint the Town Green” campaign, offering highly competitive financing options to support the country’s growing interest in sustainable transportation. This joint effort reflects both organizations’ commitment to propelling Malaysia toward a low-carbon, eco-conscious future.

Public Bank’s influence in the EV financing market is already substantial, with its EV vehicle financing market share reaching an impressive 29.1% in 2024 and climbing to 33.5% by February 2025. The bank’s broader goal is equally bold: to channel RM100 billion into green initiatives by 2030, reinforcing its role as a major catalyst in Malaysia’s sustainability journey.

Central to this initiative is the Leapmotor C10—an EV that blends innovation, design, and practicality. Designed to redefine electric driving, the C10 is equipped with a 69.9kWh Lithium-Iron Phosphate battery, delivering a 424 km WLTP-rated range and powered by a robust 214hp electric motor. With accolades including the International CMF Design and French Design Awards, the C10 also boasts a premium driving experience, featuring a spacious interior, a 2.1m² panoramic glass roof, and advanced safety technologies like a 5-star Euro NCAP rating and Leap Pilot Level 2 ADAS.

As part of the campaign, Public Bank is offering preferential interest rates as low as 0.38% p.a. for customers financing the new Leapmotor C10—making the shift to electric mobility more financially attractive than ever.

Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Tay Ah Lek, Managing Director and CEO of Public Bank, emphasized the institution’s mission: “Public Bank is dedicated to driving Malaysia’s green transition by making EV ownership more accessible. Through our campaign and partnership with Stellantis Malaysia, we empower customers with competitive financing options while contributing to the nation’s sustainable development goals.”

Echoing this sentiment, Isaac Yeo, Managing Director, ASEAN, Stellantis, stated, “We are pleased to collaborate with Public Bank on this strategic initiative. The Leapmotor C10—equipped with intelligent features and advanced technology—becomes a more compelling and accessible option for Malaysian consumers. We believe this will play a crucial role in supporting the nation’s transition to sustainable mobility.”

The “Paint the Town Green with EV Financing” event serves as more than just a campaign—it’s a call to action. As Malaysia continues to adopt electrification in its automotive landscape, this partnership between Stellantis Malaysia and Public Bank paves the way for a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable road ahead.
