In a vibrant blend of tradition and innovation, Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), a subsidiary of national carmaker Proton, recently hosted a memorable PIONEER Hari Raya Open House, exclusively for Proton e.MAS 7 owners. Held at the Proton Center of Excellence on April 12, 2025, the event served as both a festive gathering and a powerful symbol of Malaysia’s accelerating journey towards sustainable mobility.

As the second community event of the year, the open house welcomed over 200 Proton e.MAS 7 owners from across the country. It was more than a celebration—it was a coming together of minds and values, uniting Malaysians who share a common commitment to green innovation and the spirit of Syawal. The gathering was rich with heartfelt exchanges, shared stories, and forward-thinking discussions, creating a unique space where culture met cutting-edge technology.

“Today’s event is more than a celebration—it’s a statement of appreciation and unity,” said Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET. “The Proton e.MAS 7 would not have reached its No. 1 position without the early support of our PIONEER owners. You are the heart of this growing community. As we continue to build the Proton e.MAS ecosystem together, your feedback and presence drive us to do better every day.”

The open house also provided a platform for owners to engage directly with PRO-NET representatives and technology experts. Attendees shared real-time feedback on their experiences with the e.MAS 7, discussed desired updates, and explored the upcoming Over-The-Air (OTA) roadmap. Among the key enhancements previewed were improved ABS tuning for smoother drives, intuitive charging management through touchscreen and mobile controls, enhanced battery preheating, and a new smart unlock feature that activates once battery prep is complete—making planned journeys even more convenient.

In addition, attendees received valuable insights on battery care for both LFP and NMC types, ensuring optimal long-term performance of their vehicles. The session also spotlighted the expansion of PRO-NET’s EV infrastructure, with over 2,300 public charging points now available nationwide—covering an impressive 90% of Malaysia.

For many attendees, the event reaffirmed their decision to support a homegrown EV brand. Mr. Azwan from Perak shared, “It’s great to see Proton stepping into the EV space. Choosing the e.MAS 7 was easy—it’s a national brand I trust, and with dealers available nationwide, it gives me peace of mind.”

Another owner, Mr. Amin, added, “My e.MAS 7 has changed how I look at daily driving. The performance, the tech, and the low running cost—it’s the future. But what’s even better is knowing that Proton wants to hear from us directly.”

With over 1,853 units delivered in the first quarter of 2025 and a commanding 26% year-to-date market share, the Proton e.MAS 7 continues to lead Malaysia’s EV revolution. Events like the PIONEER Hari Raya Open House not only honor key cultural traditions but also strengthen the bond between brand and customer—building a community committed to driving towards a cleaner, smarter future.
