Porsche Malaysia has officially opened orders for the new generation of its iconic 911 sports car, introducing the 911 Carrera and the revolutionary 911 Carrera 4 GTS. With prices starting from RM 1,430,000, these latest iterations bring cutting-edge performance, design enhancements, and expanded digital features to Malaysian enthusiasts.
Leading the lineup is the groundbreaking 911 Carrera 4 GTS, the first street-legal 911 to feature a performance-focused hybrid powertrain. At the heart of the new GTS is Porsche’s T-Hybrid system—a result of motorsport-inspired engineering. The hybrid setup includes a newly developed 3.6-litre boxer engine, an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, and dual electric motors integrated into the powertrain for enhanced torque and responsiveness.
This innovation translates to blistering performance: 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h. With a total system output of 541 PS and 610 Nm of torque, the GTS model outpaces its predecessor while weighing only 50 kg more. Despite the added tech, the lightweight lithium-ion battery and compact hybrid components help preserve Porsche’s traditional emphasis on balance and agility.
While the Carrera 4 GTS headlines with its hybrid system, the 911 Carrera continues to impress with an updated 3.0-litre twin-turbo boxer engine. Now pushing 394 PS and 450 Nm of torque, it hits 0–100 km/h in 4.1 seconds—or 3.9 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package. Its enhanced turbochargers and relocated intercooler contribute to reduced emissions and sharper throttle response.
Porsche has refined the 911’s legendary silhouette with a focus on aerodynamics and functionality. The front bumper features vertically aligned active air flaps and hidden diffusers, adjusting airflow based on driving conditions to improve cooling or reduce drag. Standard matrix LED headlights now integrate all lighting functions, while the rear receives a wider stance thanks to a redesigned light strip and elevated license plate.
Buyers can choose from up to seven different wheel designs, including new Exclusive Design wheels with carbon blades to reduce drag. The GTS comes standard with a wider rear wheel setup for improved traction and cornering.
The Carrera 4 GTS benefits from a thoroughly reworked suspension system. Rear-axle steering is now standard, improving both high-speed stability and tight-corner maneuverability. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is also included, with a 10 mm lower ride height and improved damping precision.
Inside, the 911 offers a driver-centric experience with Porsche’s updated Driver Experience cockpit. A 12.6-inch fully digital curved instrument cluster now replaces the traditional analog dials, customizable to display up to seven different layouts—including a heritage-inspired Classic view.
The 10.9-inch central touchscreen hosts the upgraded Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system. Connectivity features are richer than ever, with deeper Apple CarPlay® integration, in-car video streaming, and native access to apps like Spotify® and Apple Music®—all without requiring a connected smartphone. Wireless charging and a cooled smartphone compartment round out the tech-friendly interior.
The new 911 Carrera is available in a rear-wheel-drive Coupé variant, while the 911 Carrera 4 GTS is offered in both Coupé and Targa body styles with standard all-wheel drive. Both models come equipped with Porsche’s signature 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
