Porsche Malaysia is marking a thrilling 15-year milestone with a grand three-day celebration from 11–13 April 2025 at The Exchange TRX’s Central Exchange. More than a commemoration, the event serves as a bold declaration of Porsche’s past, present, and future in Malaysia, headlined by the unveiling of the latest generation of the legendary 911.

Since its inception in 2010, Porsche Malaysia has evolved from a single showroom in Glenmarie to a nationwide presence with four dealerships, now spanning Penang and Johor Bahru. What began as a focused retail initiative by Sime Motors has flourished into a powerhouse, with fan-favorites like the Cayenne and 911 consistently topping sales charts among Malaysian sports car enthusiasts.

Sime Darby’s Group CEO, Dato’ Jeffri Salim Davidson, called the anniversary “a proud moment,” citing the enduring partnership with Porsche and reaffirming the brand’s mission to deliver exceptional customer experiences while pioneering sustainable mobility in the region.

The celebration also serves as the launchpad for the newest iteration of the 911 Carrera and the technologically groundbreaking 911 Carrera 4 GTS. Staying true to its motorsport DNA, the 911 GTS introduces a new T-Hybrid system that fuses electric precision with the visceral thrill of a boxer engine, achieving 398 kW (541 PS) and 610 Nm of torque with minimal weight gain. This makes it not only a powerhouse on the track but also a symbol of Porsche’s future-focused performance ethos.

Meanwhile, the 911 Carrera continues to embody Porsche’s timeless appeal with its 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine, refined to deliver 394 PS and a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.1 seconds.

Both models feature extensively updated aerodynamics, enhanced suspension systems including standard rear-axle steering on the GTS, and a refined, fully digital cockpit that seamlessly blends iconic design with modern tech like wireless Apple CarPlay®, video streaming, and native app integration.

Porsche Malaysia has not only thrilled local fans but also made its mark in the global Porsche network. In 2022, it proudly opened the brand’s first assembly plant outside of Europe in Kulim, Kedah, starting with the Cayenne. By 2024, the locally assembled Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé rolled off the line — marking another landmark as the first export model to Thailand.

Now priced from RM728,000, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé demonstrates Porsche Malaysia’s dual focus: cutting-edge technology and regional leadership.

As part of Porsche’s vision for sustainable performance, Porsche Malaysia has made substantial investments in electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. Partnering with Shell, it rolled out Southeast Asia’s first cross-border High-Performance Charging (HPC) network, linking Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Charging is a breeze with Shell Recharge’s 360 kW chargers — enabling a Taycan to go from 0–80% in just 20 minutes. Porsche EV owners also enjoy exclusive perks, including discounted tariffs and extended charger reservation privileges. Within its own showrooms, Porsche Malaysia offers complimentary use of 350 kW DC chargers, further reinforcing its commitment to premium EV ownership.

To sweeten the 15th anniversary celebrations, customers booking a Taycan or Macan will receive a limited-edition Porsche Mobile Charger with themed livery, enhancing convenience for home charging.

Porsche Malaysia is also making ownership more accessible through the new Porsche 360 Financing programme. With low monthly installments, flexible tenures, and guaranteed future values, customers can drive home a Taycan or Macan with peace of mind and future-forward flexibility.

At its core, Porsche Malaysia is driven by community. From the roaring excitement of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia — where Sime Motors Racing Team continues to shine — to grassroots esports initiatives like the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia, the brand is actively cultivating motorsport dreams across generations and mediums.

Porsche Club Malaysia has been a key pillar in this journey, fostering camaraderie and passion among Porsche owners. From early adopters of the Cayenne to present-day enthusiasts, the community’s dedication has been integral to Porsche’s legacy in the country.

As Porsche Malaysia accelerates into its next chapter, the focus remains clear: pushing the boundaries of automotive excellence while staying rooted in heritage and community. With a growing EV ecosystem, regional assembly milestones, and the debut of one of the most advanced 911s ever made, the future looks as fast and dynamic as the cars themselves.

Whether you’re a seasoned driver, aspiring racer, or just someone who dreams in redlines and revs, Porsche Malaysia invites you to be part of this incredible journey — because 15 years is just the beginning.
