Motorsport enthusiasts are in for a high-octane treat as the Malaysia Speed Festival (MSF) returns for Round 2: Saturday Night Fever, bringing its signature blend of adrenaline and accessibility back to the Sepang South Circuit from 19–20 April 2025.
Now in its 15th year, MSF has grown into a cornerstone of Malaysia’s grassroots motorsport scene. With its roots firmly planted in community-driven racing and a mission to keep motorsports affordable and thrilling, MSF has long been a launchpad for local and regional talent. Round 2 revisits the excitement of night racing, with MSF SuperTurismo cars hitting the track from 6:00pm till midnight on Saturday, while MSF SuperBikes take over the circuit for the first time on Sunday.
This electrifying round is backed by Tourism Malaysia, aligning with the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign. The collaboration is aimed at not just bolstering Malaysia’s domestic motorsports ecosystem, but also positioning the country as a premier racing destination in Southeast Asia.
“We are thrilled for Tourism Malaysia to come in and provide support for this round,” said MSF Principal Adian Yein. “This will help our local racing community gain not only greater recognition but also international exposure.”
And that international appeal is no exaggeration—MSF has welcomed competitors from across Asia and beyond, including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, and even Europe. Round 1 alone saw elite riders like Azlan Shah, Naomichi Uramoto, Adam Norrodin, and Zulfahmi Khairuddin tear up the Superbikes division.
In the SuperTurismo category, fan favorites like Faidzil Alang, fresh off a personal best of 2:16 at Sepang, and Taj Izrin Aiman, the 2024 Gazoo Racing GT Cup Asia Individual Champion, continue to raise the bar with each lap.
“MSF has always been a platform that bridges the gap between professional racing and community-driven motorsports,” Yein emphasized. “Our structured categories and affordable entry points allow both seasoned racers and new enthusiasts to compete in a safe, professional environment.”
This round will also see the highly anticipated debut of the MSF Myvi Cup, celebrating Malaysia’s most iconic compact car. The Perodua Myvi will get its chance to shine under the lights of the fast and furious South Circuit, promising fans a unique spectacle that combines local culture with high-speed excitement.
Whether you’re a die-hard fan or a curious newcomer, MSF promises a race weekend packed with action, personality, and pulse-pounding speed. Spectators can grab Paddock Access passes for RM35 on race days or enjoy free Grandstand access, making it one of the most accessible motorsport events in the region.
Malaysia Speed Festival Round 2 roars to life on 19 April for SuperTurismo and 20 April for Superbikes at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit (South Track)—don’t miss your chance to witness the next chapter in Malaysia’s motorsport legacy.
