BMW Group Malaysia recently hosted its much-anticipated annual Dealer Awards Night at the elegant M Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, where over 200 distinguished guests from across the country gathered to honour the outstanding achievements of the brand’s dealership network. The prestigious event served as a tribute to the passion, dedication, and performance of partners representing BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad.
Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, opened the evening with a rousing address. “Our Dealer Awards Night continues to be a platform to recognise the excellence and resilience of our dealer partners,” said Nagel. “Despite the challenges of 2024, our network delivered exceptional service and continued to provide the hallmark Sheer Driving Pleasure, helping us maintain our position as Malaysia’s Number One Premium Automaker.”
The celebration also marked a major milestone—the 50th anniversary of the iconic BMW 3 Series, which Nagel highlighted as a cornerstone of the BMW brand’s legacy and customer loyalty in Malaysia.
Among the many accolades presented, key technical and service-related awards stood out. Ahmad Dhiyaudin Bin Rosleli of Millennium Welt Kuala Lumpur North earned the BMW Product Genius 2024 title for his exemplary role in delivering personalised customer experiences. The BMW High Voltage Expert Award went to Rampirabu A/L Engiddaraman of Auto Bavaria Ara Damansara, recognising his elite expertise in servicing electric vehicles.
The BMW Aftersales Vision Club 2024 celebrated dealership associates for exceptional service across various roles. Notable winners included Gloria Sigus, Crystal Yee Siew Min, and Gururaj A/L Vijayandran as Quality Customer Care Managers, while standout technicians such as Kent Chuah Teong Lieh and Hemanathan Rao were also honoured. Leadership recognition went to Heads of Aftersales like Boo Yi Ping and Elavarasan Elangovan.
For the two-wheeled division, the BMW Motorrad Dealer Award 2024 spotlighted those embodying the “Make Life a Ride” ethos. Tan Ni Rou of Auto Bavaria Penang led in sales, while technical and service excellence was demonstrated by Muhammad Redzuan Mohamad Hedzir and Tee Kean Chu, among others. The prestigious Dealer Principal title in this category went to Benjamin Ang Boon Chyuan of Auto Bavaria Tebrau.
Several top sales advisors were recognised for driving funded contract volumes and excelling in BMW Easy Drive and MINI Easy Drive programmes. Among them were Lucas Liang Jit Lim and Patrick Lim from Millennium Welt Seremban, and Doreen Koay Ai Lee of Auto Bavaria Ara Damansara.
Auto Bavaria Ara Damansara earned the title of Most Supportive BMW Dealership 2024, further cementing its reputation as a key player in BMW’s nationwide success. Meanwhile, financial penetration awards were presented to standout individuals like Andy Tian, Bryan Wong, and Theresa Tan across the BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad portfolios.
The MINI Issigonis Club Award recognised exceptional performers across Sales Advisor, Sales Manager, and Top Dealership categories. Names like Kenneth Lim Qi Heng, Belinda Ong Gaik Choo, and Joe Lee Se Juan were celebrated for their commitment to MINI’s spirited brand ethos.
The BMW Vision Club Award 2024 applauded outstanding sales professionals in multiple categories from Silver to Diamond. Standout winners included Thilagaraj Palanisamy, Sam Suet Fong, and Tracey Ho, whose leadership and performance drove remarkable results.
The evening culminated with the BMW Excellence Club Awards, spotlighting Dealer Principals for superior leadership and customer satisfaction. Joe Lee of Auto Bavaria Ara Damansara took home the top honour in the Platinum Category, a fitting recognition of the dealership’s exemplary year.
