The highly anticipated Malaysian round of the 2025 Autobacs SUPER GT is set to electrify the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit from June 27-28, 2025. This thrilling race weekend will not only showcase Japan’s finest manufacturers, drivers, and race machines but also introduce an immersive Japanese cultural festival, along with the debut of the GR86 Cup Series Malaysia 2025.
HARO Sports & Entertainment, the official rights holder and promoter of SUPER GT in Malaysia, has assured fans of an action-packed weekend both on and off the track. The event is renowned for its carnival-like atmosphere, offering fans exclusive opportunities such as open pit sessions, pit walks, grid walks, and circuit safaris. In 2025, the festival takes it a step further with an expanded Japanese cultural celebration in partnership with Nihon Matsuri, Malaysia’s largest Japanese food and culture festival.
Visitors can immerse themselves in a vibrant showcase of Japanese traditions, anime, manga, and street food, further enhancing the SUPER GT experience. Nihon Matsuri has already drawn over 100,000 visitors in previous years, making it a must-visit attraction for motorsport and Japanese culture enthusiasts alike.
The 2025 Autobacs SUPER GT Malaysia race marks the return of the prestigious series after a 12-year hiatus, thanks to a three-year agreement between HARO Sports & Entertainment and the GT Association (GTA). Malaysia remains the only overseas destination in the eight-round SUPER GT championship calendar, with the other races taking place across Japan.
The 300km race at Sepang will serve as Round 3 of the 2025 season, following events at Okayama International Circuit (April 13) and Fuji Speedway (May 4). The championship will then return to Japan for its remaining rounds, culminating in the final race at Mobility Resort Motegi on November 2.
