Proton New Energy Technology (PRO-NET) has announced its pivotal role as the main sponsor of the ASEAN Unity Drive 2025. This groundbreaking initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) across ASEAN, showcasing Malaysia’s first national electric vehicle, the Proton e.MAS 7, alongside the popular Proton X50 and X70 models. The event will see these vehicles traverse nine ASEAN nations, reinforcing Proton’s commitment to sustainable mobility and regional collaboration.
The ASEAN Unity Drive 2025 was officially flagged off on March 20, 2025, at Menara MITI, Kuala Lumpur. Acknowledged by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the official car for the ASEAN Chairmanship, the e.MAS 7 will spearhead this remarkable journey, solidifying Proton’s role in the region’s EV transformation.
