In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, Porsche Malaysia hosted an empowering driving event at the Driving Experience Centre in Sepang. This unique program brought together driven women for a hands-on learning experience behind the wheel of Porsche’s all-electric Taycan and Macan. More than just a driving session, it was an opportunity for women to build confidence, enhance their driving skills, and embrace the International Women’s Day theme: Accelerate Action.
Under the guidance of professional instructors, participants faced real-world driving scenarios designed to sharpen their instincts and elevate their control. From mastering vehicle handling on slippery surfaces to making split-second decisions under dynamic conditions, women learned how to stay composed and in control.
Christopher Hunter, CEO of Sime Darby Auto Performance, emphasized the brand’s commitment to empowering women, saying, “At Porsche Malaysia, we believe in accelerating both skills and mindsets forward, with confidence and control. Our driving programme equips women to handle road challenges while encouraging them to take charge in all aspects of life.”
One of the most thrilling exercises was the Kick Plate challenge with the all-electric Taycan 4S. This drill simulated sudden loss of traction by using a hydraulic plate to skid the car, mimicking situations like oil spills or wet roads. Participants learned to maintain composure while regaining control, guided by the Taycan’s advanced air suspension and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system.
Another challenge was the Skid Circle exercise, designed to teach drivers how to correct oversteer on a slippery surface. With water jets creating low-traction conditions, the Taycan’s precise chassis and traction control systems provided a safe yet realistic environment to master vehicle dynamics.
Participants also took the Macan 4 to the Handling Circuit, where they practiced steering techniques and braking control under real-world road conditions. The circuit’s sudden elevation changes and sweeping bends tested their ability to manage speed and maintain composure.
On the Dynamic Handling slalom course, drivers navigated tight cones, honing their agility and defensive driving techniques. The Macan’s responsive steering and low center of gravity made quick maneuvers feel effortless, while its adaptive air suspension balanced comfort with performance.
The Sportscar, Electrified driving experience wasn’t just about mastering cars—it was about instilling confidence that transcends the road. By pushing their limits and embracing challenges, participants left with not only enhanced driving skills but also a renewed sense of empowerment.
Through initiatives like this, Porsche Malaysia continues to champion women who are unafraid to take the wheel, both on the road and in life. As women accelerate forward with skill, poise, and determination, the brand reaffirms its commitment to fostering a culture of confidence and control.
