PRO-NET recently hosted its inaugural official gathering for both current and prospective Proton e.MAS 7 owners on 15 February at the Proton DX centre in Quill City Mall. The event provided a dynamic platform for open discussions about EV ownership, fostering a sense of community among Malaysia’s growing Proton e.MAS family.

More than just a showcase, the Proton e.MAS Pioneer Teh Tarik Sesh was designed to encourage meaningful conversations about the realities of electric mobility in Malaysia—the excitement, the challenges, and the road ahead. Attendees exchanged over 100 valuable insights, experiences, and feedback points, making the session an enriching experience for EV enthusiasts, early adopters, and those considering their first EV.

EV experts from SoyaCincau.com and PRO-NET facilitated engaging discussions on key topics such as transitioning from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to EVs, cost benefits, charging accessibility, and the innovative features of the Proton e.MAS 7. The open dialogue format allowed attendees to ask questions, share real-life experiences, and gain practical knowledge about EV ownership.

Salawati Mohd Yusoff, Chief Branding Officer of PRO-NET, emphasized the company’s commitment to making EV adoption seamless and reassuring for customers. “Our mission with Proton e.MAS has always been to ensure that transitioning to an EV is exciting and stress-free. Many Malaysians are still new to EVs, and we want them to feel supported every step of the way. By engaging directly with owners and future adopters, we’re not just selling cars—we’re nurturing a community that is ready to embrace a new era of mobility.”

The impact of the Proton e.MAS 7 has been immediate. In its first month, it became Malaysia’s best-selling EV, registering 421 units and securing the top spot in January 2025’s EV registration charts. Since its mid-December 2024 launch, Proton e.MAS has amassed over 4,000 bookings and is backed by 30 dealerships nationwide, commanding a 25% market share in Malaysia’s EV segment.

The event also showcased the evolution of the Proton e.MAS 7 ecosystem, including PRO-NET’s Live Integrated Charging Map and upcoming over-the-air (OTA) updates, ensuring continuous improvements based on customer feedback. The highlight of the session, however, was the strong sense of camaraderie among attendees, who openly shared experiences, raised questions, and suggested enhancements.

Among them was Ahmad Yumnie Bin Adanan, who revealed that his decision to purchase the Proton e.MAS 7 was inspired by his son. As a father, he found the car’s spaciousness ideal for his family, allowing him to fit a stroller and install a baby seat with ease. “Space is a big factor when you have kids, and the e.MAS 7 provides that comfort. It’s the perfect fit for my family,” he shared.

Meanwhile, Muhamad Iskandar Bin Abdul Rahman was among the earliest buyers, booking his unit even before the official launch during the e.MAS Tour in Kuantan. He was drawn to the vehicle’s affordability, advanced technology, and the convenience of Proton’s nationwide service network. “I’ve never regretted switching to an EV. The technology, the savings, and the ease of ownership—after this, I’m done with ICE cars,” he said.

This milestone event is just the beginning. As Proton e.MAS continues to lead Malaysia’s EV transformation, PRO-NET remains committed to listening to its customers, addressing their needs, and enhancing the overall ownership experience. After all, true success is measured by customer satisfaction—and for Proton e.MAS, this is only the start.
