DENZA has officially entered the Malaysian automotive market with the launch of its flagship luxury MPV, the DENZA D9. Embodying the brand’s philosophy of “Redefining Sophistication,” the D9 combines elegant design, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable performance to offer a premium driving experience. With this expansion, BYD continues its commitment to innovation and greener mobility, catering to Malaysia’s evolving automotive landscape.

For the Malaysian market, the D9 will be available in two different variants, both fully electric. The two variants consist of a single-motor front-wheel-drive (FWD) version and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) version. Both models are powered by a 103.3 kWh battery. According to Denza, the FWD variant has an estimated range of up to 600 km, while the AWD variant offers an estimated range of 580 km. The battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Additionally, a quick 10-minute charge provides a range of up to 150 km. The D9 supports a maximum charging speed of 166 kW with a DC charger and 11 kW with an AC charger.

In terms of performance, the single-motor FWD variant delivers 230 kW of power and 360 Nm of peak torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. The AWD variant, equipped with two electric motors, provides a combined output of 275 kW and 470 Nm of torque, allowing it to complete the century sprint in a quicker 6.9 seconds.

Inside, the D9 boasts a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, a 15.6-inch non-rotatable infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four-way power-adjustable second-row captain’s chairs with lumbar adjustment, ventilation, and massage functions, three 50-watt Qi wireless chargers for the first and second rows, and a 14-speaker Dynaudio sound system.

The D9 also comes standard with features such as automatic LED headlights and taillights, 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, powered front and sliding doors, keyless entry, push-button start, a panoramic glass sunroof, triple-zone climate control, real wood trim, power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, four-way manually adjustable third-row seats, and a powered tailgate. The AWD model adds front seat massage functionality, driver’s side memory, Nappa leather upholstery, suede headlining, and a digital rear-view mirror.

In terms of safety, the D9 includes an extensive range of safety and driver assistance systems. These features include autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, front and rear cross-traffic alert with auto-braking, rear collision warning, door opening warning, driver attention monitoring, and automatic high beam control.

Malaysian customers can choose between two variants of the DENZA D9:

✅ DENZA D9 Premium (AWD) – RM 309,000

The model is available in three sophisticated exterior colors: Arctic White, Cosmos Black, and Whale Sea Blue, complemented by luxurious interior options in Beige and Brown.
